Rdy & Rdywith:

I think we are in deep trouble. We best get a lot bigger piggy bank and start saving right now.

So, it can be done and apparently has been done unless those numbers are just estimates. I would also assume it would work in a Blackwood just as well as in a Navigator. Whatchya think, 6 large or so?

Sal or others, is it possible to get any other details? Stock innards, stock tranny etc. etc. In other words, exactly what did they do besides manifold/blower/pulleys/intercooler?

My pics have been ran-sacked!! Curses!

Here's a close-up of one of the wheels.

Works made custom 22"x9.5 (Front) and 22"x11" (Rear) wheels for the Blackhawk.

They were made to resemble the factory wheels as close as possible, but also add that huge BLING factor.

I think Ive got a pic of the bitchen interior, too. I'll dig it up and post it later...

Dont get your hopes up that this will ever hit the street.

If you take note in the picture, you will see a disabled EGR valve and a few other items that arent hooked up. I seriously doubt it will ever see production.

Its amazing the money that Ford can throw around just to be able to play with vehicles to get everyones excitment up.

Grey03, here are your answers to your questions..

"1) The EGR valve was disabled and tube removed for cosmetics for the show. So was the vacuum line to the bypass valve. Ford didn't like the way it looked for glamor shots.
2) The truck is driven daily now. Nobody said anything about production so don't see why you're barking up that tree.
3) Nothing else is missing. If you are going to say throttle spring, it was removed and the tb wired shut so it could be only idled around by the union guys who moved it into and out of the convention center."

Also keep in mind that Works built this entire vehicle in just under two months.

That's pretty much how I feel. I would be in heaven if I could get my stock rims in 20's & chrome.

Bill: I'm still waiting on 3 of the 4 mods I wanted to do when I first got my Wood. unfortunately the L comes first in that department.

Thanks for the info Sal. I thought it might be cosmetic related issues.. EGR's arent the prettiest things to look at.

Works built it in 2 months? Thats amazing.

32 valve works blown engine that you could slap a 250 shot of nitrous on it with no problem??, sounds like a combination that someone here failed to deliver after almost 2 years.

This information deserves the Big 3:

How sweet would that setup be??? Get it out of the Blackhawk/Navigator and put that in a Lightning, with beefed up everything, and you have an UNTOUCHABLE Lightning!!!

WOWWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!!!!!

Naysayer. Ford ain't the General. How about the Navi as a test mule for the '05 L drivetrain? Priced just under the SRT-10. Too far-fetched?

OK here is my thought...

Here is an engine over 600 hp and 700 lb/trq.

GOING THROUGH AN AWD TRANNY!

HELLO,
FORD, if you really want to make the GEN 3 Lightning special, PUT THIS TRANNY IN IT!

500hp Gen 3 with AWD tranny!
I'll buy 2 of them!

Imagine launching of the line in AWD.
that SRT-10 owner will be crying he didn't buy a FORD!

FORD,
PUT THAT TRANNY IN THE NEXT GEN 3 LIGHTNING!
are you listening? I'm yelling over here!

Sorry to say, this Black Hawk will never see production with a warranty from FORD. WORKS did a nice job. Ford's bean counters are crunching the numbers on a production Navi with the current Gen 2 engine.

The Gen 3 powertrain has been in development in a Gen 2 Lightning for some time. They also have the new powertrain under development in the new 04 F-150.

We have two more years until production. That's if SVT's funding doesn't get cut again.

Best of luck to the tuners when the new truck becomes available. They are going to need it.

I'll be keeping my Gen 2. At least I can add all the mods I want, and it won't go into fail-safe mode.
