HELP!! whats wrong with the truck?
No, no way. The guy that was working on it is a good guy. He built my entire stereo box and everything.
Well, id love to check the vaccum line(s)? But where are they? Is it something I could easily find?

UPDATE:
Started the truck, still has the same dilema...While the hood was up, i stuck my head in there to look for anything wrong, and there seems to be some odor coming from it, it almost smells like "nail polish remover" or something... What could this be?

Engine 'lopes' while idling or idles erratically:
1. Vacuum leaks. You can use a length of fuel or vacuum hose held against your ear to listen for 'hisses'/leaks while the eng is running.
2. Leaking EGR valve or a plugged PCV valve.
3. Air filter clogged
And 'others' you don't want to hear about and I don't think apply in your case.
I really think it's a loose, not-connected vacuum hose, or mis-connected vacuum hose--somewhere......................

motox - I have had the exact same thing start happening to my truck. It is sporadic though. I can go weeks/months without a problem then one day I will start it up and it will idle rough and at a very low rpm. Sometimes it kicks back up in a few seconds on its own. Other times it will stay that way. I drove it to the mechanic that way once when it was real bad and then it stopped doing it
They kept it for a few days and checked it out and could not find anything wrong. I noticed the same thing with the strange smell. My thought was that it was coolant I smelled but I dont see my fluid levels dropping and the mechanic cant find any signs of a coolant leak.

My L developed those exact symptoms one day. We had just installed the phenolic spacer and when I reconnected the EGR vacuum line(which is the pre-formed vacuum line on the driver side of the upper intake manifold), I unknowingly left it too close to the EGR tube, thus burning a hole in it. On my way home, at a stop light (at idle), the truck began missing and stumbling, but ran fine once under way. When I initially popped the hood, I did not notice the damaged line at first, and took it into the dealer. I was most embarassed upon finding out the problem, but also relieved it was nothing serious. Hope your situation turns out to be similar. Best of luck.
