Speedracer5, It was not that hard to install the C-section with the right tools. I used a Plasma Cutter to cut the frame and a Super Heavy Duty Industrail Reversible Drill with Cobalt Drill Bits to drill holes in the frame. Took about 2 hours.

Another question.... What does this do to the value of the truck. Frame cutting seems a bit scary. What is you take on it guys.

If we were talking about a standard F-150 that might be used for hauling a bed full of gravel then there might be an issue in resale value from a notched frame.

However, a Lightning is not too likely to be used for general hauling so I wouldn't see it being a major problem.

FWIW, every c-notch maker will tell you that a frame with a properly installed c-notch is actually stronger than the stock frame, so there is not a downside wrt longevity.
