fwiw

spoke with SVT this morning. The standard F150 owners manual states 75w-140 however the SVT supplement stated 80w-90.

They recommended 80w90 with the 4oz bottle of friction modifier.

Bob,

Not to be a smarta$$ but do you really trust what those idiots say (I hope they read this).

I called them right before my warranty ran out asking about a new head gasket coming out for the oil leak problem on the passenger side head. They didn't know about the head leaking problem much less anything about a new gasket. They even had me call back the next day to give them a chance to ask around about the problem.

I found out about the new gasket about a month after I hit 36,000 miles. My dealer was nice enough to do an AWA but I still had to pay 20% for the repair and a new head which was around $400. If they had of known what they were talking about it would have been fixed under full warranty.

Cool

When I bought my 4:10's from Mark @ LFP he sent Ford 75-140W lube. That is what's in there now.

Chuck,

Your comment was received as intended and with no negative connotation.

I don't trust SVT's recommendation one iota. That would be like believing 'back in the day' our 99-00 intercooler failureS weren't a problem for which to be concerned.

His voice was rather muffled, or something. Perhaps....

Bob
