NGK TR-6 with a 2#er?
NGK TR-6 with a 2#er?
Well with all the "plug spitting" talk lately, I decided my luck is probably likely to run out soon. I have about 36lk miles (just out of warranty) and have never checked the plugs even once. I figured I would have them changed instead of just checking them. I dont really like what I hear about the Densos, havent heard many bad things about the NGKs, but anyhow.. I have a 2# lower and its an everyday driver with mild track use... what would be the better plug?
I don't want to say which is a better plug because honestly I don't know. I can tell you this however, I bought a set of Densos did all of the work to put them in and maybe not even 500 miles later I started getting a misfire. The only way that stroy really relates to you is the fact that I have run my TR6 plugs for near 17000 miles without a single problem, and and everyone of those miles has had extra boost. If you are only going to run a #2 pulley I wouldn't even worry about plugs. I think and most should agree that the best bang for the buck as far as plugs go are the TR6's and they hold up really good.
Well Im going to change them regardless, I figured it would be the NGKs... but I was wondering if the TR-6es are appropriate for my boost level, especially since eventually I will be running 4# extra total. (2# upper + 2# lower)
Chip? .
I dont currently run either of my chips...I may soon, but for now I have them pulled. So I should be ok at 10-12#s with the NGKs for now then? I know they are perfect for 4#ers..but I wont be doing that until november or december when its colder outside and I head back to the track.
