lol, can anyone here say they really ever thought for a second about racing a jeep? i would never even think of even wasting the gas. i think we have a jeep that thought he was racing and a lightning that still hauls *** driving normally

It's getting intresting over on the Jeep forum. Some of you guys should chime in over there.

 

My wife's R/T will barely run a 14.9x and she's got dual exhaust, cold air intake & a Hypertech power programmer. That guy is full of chit.

 

Honestly, I'd bet the guy in the lightning didnt even know he was racing.

Actually, you know he may not be that far off. I raced a Lambo Murcielago one time down South Beach Miami in like 40 degree weather. He said he was having engine problems, and that he was only running on his backup generator. Keep in mind, my right front tire was flat but I still walked him pretty bad....I love posts like that!!!

 

I think he meant it was an eighth mile track. 13.9 in the eighth sounds right for a 5.9. Heck the Dakota RT's can barely pull low 15's.

 

I have a grand cherokee and there is no way in hell it compares to the Lightning.

Jeep did come out with a newer beefed up 4.7L that is only in the GC limited edition, impressive, but no where near a Lightning, .

they aren't performace vehicles, the grand cherokee was designed for women! that is it's demographics Plus I'm 6'1" and I'm looking out the top 1/3 of he windshield when I drive.

(I bought it becuase I got a helluva deal on it and it's 4wd (michigan winters))

 

i don't understand why you would dump so much money into a jeep..imo i think they are ugly, but to each his own. someone needs to go over and chime in....spankdog you seem to do this often
