Steve
on the contrary your information is incorrect neither of the screws will compare in low end torque to the roots

The lightning and the cobra have the same blower the Eaton M112 but the cobra has DOHC compared to our single setup which makes the engine more efficient.

Tell you what ...check out Don Bolts, JL's or Charlies low end twin screw torque.

The roots (Works 112) will out low end torque the twin screw (KB or Works 140) breifly....but only boost to boost . However the twin screw is capable of producing much more boost than the roots and can out torque the roots at any rpm.

not trying to argue here but chris himself told me that two identical trucks running boost for boost under 18 lbs, the 112 would beat the 140, over that and its toast.
by the way can i see your dyno chart and all of your mods cali??

Don did over 700# of torque if I recall with 16# of boost on his KB. Show me a 112 doing over 700# of torque.

Well now your getting into semantics. I reacted to your comment.

This is incorrect. If you want more HP and more torque get the twin screw.

well i guess maybe my question wasnt really too clear, i for a fact know that the roots style blowers create a lot of low end torque and screws typically dont create as much.

the thing is cali, the screws may peak at 700 but what rpm is that at, id rather have a constant 600 torque

That is also not so. The twin screw blowers hold the torque much higher through out the rpm range while the roots drops off sharply the higher the rpm.

Twin Screw

Roots

Note torque curve of Roots vs Screw. So which one holds torque and which drops? Which makes more torque?
