2# lower?? Nice start, but you wasted your money. after about 2 months, you'll upgrade to a 4#. and then nexy year maybe a 6# (not recommended for daily use though)(gas guzzler)

Congrats and welcome.

Did you ever think of putting a blower on the 360? It would have been a lighter combination with a modest jump in HP, especially with the mods you had done.

Actually,You should get a 4lb pully.A 2lb is barley noticable with a chip nevermind without. If you get a 4lb pully with a really safe chip,You will like it MUCH better than a 2lb alone.Air intakes really dont do much.Id go with a open element because since thay dont offer much if any performance,at least you would get the blower whine with it and they are really cheap.i got one just for the sound.Dont forget about the valve body for the tranny.

chip (sal)
4#pully (sal)
FTVB (factory tech valve body)(see sal)
intake (sal)

See you can stick with sal and still get everything you need.

hah, that is awesome. I have been trying to tell my buddy with an rt that for about a year now!

There are a lot of cool guys in your area.
I take that as a compliment. Welcome, I am Shane and Im from Plainfield, its about 45 minutes south of Chicago. I am close to the race track rt66 in Joliet. Have you heard of rt66?
You did the right thing trading the dodge in for the 03 Sonic Blue Lightning (in my opinion). I love Sonic Blue! Good Choice. Also good choice on going with Sal, he is a great guy, he knows his stuff. I have a chip and lower pulley like yourself. I was going to get a 2# pulley like you did, but I was talked into getting a 4# and I have been happy ever sense. Good luck with the mods from sal. Have fun with the Lightning. If you have any questions, ask away or email. Shanezam203@hotmail.com

Welcome abord. I'm relatively new to the boards myself, and the guys here have been very helpful. There's one way around the chip issue and that's with a Predator. You can go back to the factory tune if it needs to go into the shop, and it won't leave a footprint. Is your '03 new or wsa it used? Have fun in the forum.

No. Im slower but enjoy the technical discussion. I was just curious if he thought a SC dakota would have kept up with what he is driving now, and if he would have saved money etc...

I went from a Vortech blown 5.9 Jeep to the Lightning. The Jeep slapped around my stock Lightning but I am adding a chip and pulley to the Lightning this weekend to even the score.
