R/T to Lightning
I know this is kind of cheesy but I am a new Lightning owner and I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I recently sold my 00 Dakota R/T and bought an 03 Sonic Blue Lightning. I had put a few bolt-ons on the R/T, exhaust, headers, intake, performance PCM, throttle body, and I really thought it moved. Then I buy the Lightning and realize what fast really means. I couldn't be happier with it. I recently purchased the Fast air system through PSP and also a 2# lower pulley. I know I still have a lot to learn about this motor but am I on the right track? I'm sure I'm going to have plenty of questions for you guys in the future, so thanks in advance. And I am proud to be a Lightning owner.
Welcome and great choice. Seriously though my opinion would be go easy on the mods at first and make sure you don't have any warranty issues you need to take care of. Some dealers will hassle you about the mods depending on what the warranty issue is. Of course that's just my opinion.

until your warentee is up this is the best advice you will get
stick with minor bolt ons like the filter and pulley but don't tell the dealer this way if you get into trouble you can just put on the old stock stuff, but as for a chip they use a special glue to cover the terminal where the chip goes, to see if it was tamperd with, however with only a 2lbe you wont need a chip, but when the warentee is up it is worth the money.
