MOD Motor Shootout!

This is a qoute from dave King:

I know JLP has been recruiting trucks for NMRA.

It has been brought to my attention that several *rumors* have been going around that i have been telling people to *BOYCOT* Dave Kings Mod Motor Shootout! I want to let Dave King and everyone else know that this is just that a *RUMOR* and a Complete LIE! If the Mod Motor date did not conflict with the NMRA event. i would not only be attending but would have been *Sponcering* the Lightning Heads Up class again this year! and (DEFENDING) my Title.. I Encourage those who are considering going to the mod motor event to go! I'm sure there will be *several* JLP Customers attending.... I hope this clears this matter up. JL

****: I'll show you some support i'll pay you $500.00 just to show up this weekend. Then when you win the lightning class that will be another $300.00 for a total of $800.00. and you'll be able to show everybody how great you are and how fast your lightning is. and maybe gain some respect by actually showing up and putting all that knowledge you claim to have on the track..I would like to see what your really all about. instead of you hiding behind your computer and continualy stirring up strife and trouble.. How bout it $500.00 just to show up? JL

Johnny, whats with your personal attacks?

People on the West Coast have been complaing for YEARS why sanctioning events such as NMRA, FFW and WFC fail to bring their events here. We have plenty of fast cars. When they committ to it, the support will be there. Until then, people out here could give 2 ****s less about those events.

Why dont you bring your 10 second Lightning to FFW in CA and ill introduce myself. Ill also be at LightningFest 2003...

And please explain how in my post, i had strife to cause trouble?

I stated i heard NO SUCH rumor. When Cyntaxx gave me an invite to attend NMRA, i gave him MY opinion, which wasnt directed toward YOU. So, next time you get a wild hair to start trouble with me, think about what you type before hitting submit. Youre a supporting vendor, not god

Don't forget that Lightning trucks are allowed in the Modular Open comp class at pays out $20,000. $15,000 goes to the winner. JDM's class also pays out $2500 total in payouts. That money is guaranteed.

We have 140 pre-registered racers as of right now. Last year at this time we had 55 and had a total of 260 cars despite going up against FFW in Virginia. We should have a very strong car count.

JLP and Sal have vested interest in the NMRA thus they will be there. I know JLP has been recruiting trucks for NMRA.

All I can tell you is that this is the Modular Race of the year. There might not be another one so this could be it. It's the ultimate showcase for Modular Vehicles. Plus we have a tremendous video that we do, most of the participants get on the video at least once. Go to http://www.modularshootout.com/estore.htm to see sneak peaks of what the video is like.

We're having a huge car cruize at Hooters on Friday night so it should be pretty wild there.

I hope I"ve helped you answer your questions of what our race is going to be like.

Dave

maybe it wasn't just this post. but it seems that you need to be a part of every single other post out there it would take me weeks to round up all the negativity i have seen in some of your posts.

i'm not trying to jump in where i don't belong but it seems to me a certain few are out to get their post counts up or just seem to act like they know everything about these trucks that they feel its a necessity to jump on every thread (right or wrong) and give their 2 cents.

and no i dont scan everythread but i do skim through here daily for maybe that one useful thread buried beneath all the b.s.

Welp, sorry to burst your bubble, but not everyone is new to modular engines. Some of us have been playing with them long before the lightning was conceived. I could give a damn about my post count.

Ain't that the truth! Despite his questionable fascination with male genitalia, at least **** contributes with his post-whoring, unlike a certain whining vendor.
