Maybee I should turn my roll bar into a Nitrous tank, now that would be a hidden system.

You would have to get rid of this first.......

is there any way you can have a custom nitrous plate made like jdm's intake plenium spacer that has a hole in it for a nitrous jet? That would be more hidden than putting it up front near the mass air boot. If your just doing a dry shot, all you'll have is that line and a solinoid and then the bottle in the bed. Anyone know what I'm talking about? making jdm's spacer into a nitrous plate like sals. any way that can happen? thanks, Shane

that spacer with a spot for jets like this forcing the nitrous right down the supercharger and then into the motor...

Shane,

I guess you are wanting to hide it for racing reasons, and not for deputy dog reasons. If you are trying to make it look non functional, and just hide the bottle, i can probably help you , otherwise, i am sure you can do it if you take yor time.

Good luck

I'm sure some of you know about Gary "Bones" Goodman's truck, There's a nice write up about it in a recent FTW mag, from what I recall, he did a nice job hiding his, it's all direct plumbed in, and hidden underneith.

I wish I had the mag right in front of me, I could be more specific.

dl got any pics? I am not doing it I am just curious to see how well you can hide it. I think there is a difference with hiding it to a normal eye, and then hiding it on someone who knows about cars... I saw one just tonight a guy was sporting sals plate and i asked him you get that from psp? and he goes no I got it from Power Surge Performance... he didnt know anything about Lightnings. and I hate seeing people with these trucks and have no clue what they are doing and then on top of that go mod them! O well I dont know everything there is to know and at one time i didnt know what I do now. thanks, Shane

I made mine as hidden as possible <----note word possible. I'll post pics after they are developed. think i will go do that today. only problem i found hiding nitrous is you can't on our truck becuase the intake is so high. we camoflauged most of the wiring with the plastic wire tubing. the black worked well. Only problem was the actual spray line going into the intake. Yeah, everything else looks hidden except that. probably cover it with more plastic wire tubing, but if people know what to look for you probably can't fool anybody but an idiot. We mounted all the switches to the plastic fuse panel under neath the steering column. Easy to replace and hard to see and easy to get to.

I guess this thread relates to this one?

actually I raced him again and with my slicks I actually beat him. even if I never would have found him, I wasnt going to do nitrous on my truck. it's just my buddy and I were thinking of ways to hide it on these trucks and I didnt think it was that easy. Now after thinking about it for a while, i guess it can be done. Im still curious about making that spacer a nitrous plate. any info on that? thanks, Shane

I used Sal's Nitrous Injection Plate and Keith installed black plastic tubing over the Nitrous lines and wires, Purge Solenoid is mounted under wiper cowl and other solenoids are mounted under the cold air box's metal frame underneath the air box. Bottle is mounted behind the drivers seat. I had to buy several Nitrous lines longer than what came in the kit, because we ran the lines around stuff, instead of across stuff. You have to really look to be able to find it.

At a good glance, most people miss the NxExpress installation. It's funny to see the expression on their face when they find out after looking for a while, and I didn't tell them to try and find it.
