Here are some links to some popular systems

Carroll Superchargers

Aquamist

SMC

Bob Avallar

I forgot Snow

I was going to build my own system, but won't have the time or energy to do that for awhile. I'll prolly just wind up buying one. I know for a fact they work. I am not sure how well they work on the lIghtnings, but I guess we will find out soon enough.

You just have to be careful of what youre spraying. Methanol will pretty much eat through our intercooler is what im told. It is the best thing to use with water though.

Dentatured Alc is another option. I dont know if it has any effects on the intercooler. Time will tell when i start running it.

Both Alc and Meth will increase the octane level of your pump gas.

You can also run straight water. This wont help to increase the octane but it will help cool the combustion chamber and stop detonation.

Mine was controlled the same way; hobbs switch at 10#. When I had mine hooked on the vacuum side of the system it drew enough water to make the car barely idle. 15 seconds of run time ran the bottle down 1/4 of the way. Way more water than you can deal with! Lucky it didn't hydro-lock the engine. You can see how I initially had it plumbed into the bottom of the elbow; doesn't work!!!!:

You might want to talk to someone before you put it there!

If you notice Sal's plate comes with "2" tappings,
1 for a wet nozzle
and

I could put a dry nozzle right in that other tap
and inject right there
Hmmmmmmmm ?????
I'll have to think about that

I think that i will reposition the nozzle before the t-body on REMs intake tube,....as far as running denatured alcohol , it is recomended, the problem with methanol is that it is highly corrosive, 2 manufacterers that I emailed recomended either denatured alcohol or ethyl alcohol due to their non-corroding properties...another solution that I was thinking about is puting a NOS selenoid between the water pump and t-body so the engine cant draw water until the hobbs switch activates the selenoid to open.....

So, can you mix water/alch injection with nitrous?

Yes you can. It won't cool the air charge more than nitrous will, but a water/methanol mix will allow you to run more timing with the juice beacause of what the meth does to octane (bumps it up a lot).

The water/meth mix would be activated when the nitrous is activated. I personally have not used it with nitrous, I am just going by conversations with people that have used it and what I have read.

So, to sum it all up there actually could be good reason to run high octane fuel (such as VP 104) plus water/alcohol injection plus nitrous oxide injection?

With the water/meth mixture, you won't have to run as high of octane fuel because the meth bumps up the octane so much. It all depends on your combination and how much nitrous you are running. There will be some guess work and tuning involved since there are no real experts on this subject with regards to Lightnings.

I don't know if I would mix water and nitrous. Since nitrous turns from a liquid to a gas at -127* and water turns to ice at 32* you could potentialy turn you intercooler into a big ice cube

I'm sorta kidding and sorta not, I'm not sure what would happen, just thinkin out loud.

We are talking about a water/alcohol mixture, not pure water.

Yeah I know....water/alcohol.......and I was talking about something that has the potential to reach -127 degrees.

Hmm. Good point. A quick google search tells me that the freezing point of the water/alcohol mixture would be about -169 degrees though. I guess it could be possible?
