The next "sure thing" mod
OK ... You see some people have to see every post
as an attack on someone. Instead of what it is. An
attempt to "edumacate" the audience in the more subtle
variations of the truth.
Another example ... possibly a bit bit more base so it will
seem an exageration.
We have all read news stories about Oxygen Starved
Strangulation Climaxes. That this is one of the most stupid
"urban legends" is a sad commentary on our "monkey-see
monkey do" culture. BTW, hundreds of young men DIE
trying this every year, so I would advise AGAINST it, and
just trust us old farts ... It doesn't work!!!
I believe what Gregg was trying to point out was that when
some of the most famous (or for that matter, infamous)
claim a certain benefit to a process (part, MOD, Improvement)
there will always be those that follow blindly along.
As in the case of the "enhanced" orgasms, there will be
a few that don't survive. The saddest thing is that they were
gulliable enough to BEGIN with to believe what was proposed
by the "authorities" (There is a old saw that states the more
"expert" you are in a particular system, the more you "think"
your knowledge spills over to unrelated areas)
The bottom line is that we all would reject a theory that the
snorting of Monkey ***** produced a decidedley better "high"
because we "KNOW BETTER" ... buit we will all follow a particular
tuner/inventor/friend into LA-LA land never questioning the
basis OR the results.
Gator took the time to test and appraise the Phenolic Spacer
and should be lauded for the effort. If it works on your truck
then use it. Or like Doug mentioned, use the Large Soft Drink
MOD. Whatever floats your boat ...
/End of ruminations on a BEYOOTIFUL Sunday morning ...

I understand what he is saying now. He should have stated in his original post that it wasn't about anything or anybody, not some inside information, just a general statement.
Factory_Tech:
Excellent example, I got your first post. The sad thing is there are so many people who just don't get it and follow the crowd because someone "said" its a good thing rather then taking some time and "looking or researching" to find out about it first hand.
Anyway, I guess that's what makes the world go around and makes some people rich and alot of others a little more poor because they blew money on something they had no idea about, except what they "heard" or wanted to hear...

I just wasted about 5 minutes of my life reading this.
While i'm sure there is a message here somewhere, it is hiding in the circular, confused, incomplete analogies.
If Im right the message is a coy way of directly attacking another Vendor.
We have never allowed that here

And gee, when I questioned the credibility of someone I was attacked. Guess what, I could care less.
