It's not about anyone, or even close to being about anyone, it's about the "Brand New XXXXX"
I guess I think about it differently because what I do is much different from most vendors. Some guys sell parts that they didn't make, or maybe don't even understand, some sell parts they know very well, some make the parts themselves and really understand it. I don't sell anything I don't make, so I'm not married to anything, if I find something that works better, I can figure out how to make it and drop eveything I was doing, and I know X is better than Y because I only did Y because I thought it worked better. And a lot of places are able to do that. But some aren't, and when their suppliers come out with Y, they may or may not have any idea whether the new idea has any validity, but "it's on the menu now, we have an explanation why it works (even if it doesn't) and here we go!" They may get taken as much as anyone who buys it.
Jeesh, every time I try to explain it, I get back to this, but I'm really on to something here, I think.

Does "getting FGR Wiper blades" do any good?

I dunno, but this guy says it XXXXXXXXXXXXX and that sounds good, and then this other guy says he got 40HP from it, so it must be good.

Well, maybe there is something to changing your wiper blades! Where can I get some?

and then, a month later, some guy in wiperblade technology says "wait a minute, they clean your windshield, they don't have any affect on how fast you go!"
