Better shock for our Ls than QA1s?
"Sliders" eliminate the OEM hanger/shackle combo altogether, and they are designed to stop the "slop" in the OEM set up. I can post some pics of them this evening, and they will lower a truck about 2" so that will give me about 4" total in the rear.
If you have dropped the rear of you truck then you will need to get a shorter shock than what QA1 shows for the Lightning. QA1 offers three different sizes that will work depending on the amount of drop. Just take a measurement before you order and QA1 will tell what size to run.

Thanks for the heads up about shock length, I guess I will have to be careful and research/measure some when getting the rear ones.

cyntaxx - if you are doing either the Hotchkis or Roush springs in the rear, don't bother with the sliders unless you want the rear low, especially if you do the Roush as they lower more then the Hotchkis. IMO, if your gonna stay with the stock leafs then the sliders are the best bet for lowering the rear.

Hmm probably won't go with sliders then, the Roush leafs are supposed to give a pretty significant drop already (3 inch I think?) and I don't want anything *too* extreme as far as ride height.

I am looking into how much work it would be to drop one more inch though.

Ayrton : You have anything in a way of a bumpsteer correction kit?

cyntaxx,
I have the QA1's on all four corners. 2" drop shackles on the back.
Western Chassis Lower Control Arms on the front.
Bought my QA1's direct. With that type of drop I was able to use the standard length shock for the Lightning. The Western Chassis also comes with the End Links and New Bump Stops.
Truck handles better than new.
The big plus I got from the QA1's was that I could adjust all 4 until I got a ride that I could live with and that my wife was happy with. Our taste in suspension' differed. Then I can always change at the strip.
I am pleased with the QA1's. Had them about 10,000 miles.

The setup I'm planning is Roush front coils and rear leafs with QA1s and *maybe* 2 inch drop shackles to level the rear out a bit more....
A little off topic but I was told by my friend that Stan's panhard is 255-275? Not 150 like I assumed (for some reason?)...just asking/confirming.

One thing I keep forgetting to ask:
I have rancho-style bars. Will I have major ground clearance problems with the drop? Anyone running a suspension like the ones we are discussing who have ranchos?
