$89 bucks is do-able.
they were installing it at the time but thats not a gap - The phenolic is just black at the edge. the full size pic shows it better

Question:

1. If the object is to straighten out the flow and cool would'nt a
longer spacer work better?

2. Could a nitrus injector be installed in this location?

P.S. I guess my origional question got deleated because I tried to add some levity to the post, sorry I'll try not to use any big words anymore.

This was originally posted by Bad as L on F-150 last October regarding blower porting. Interesting stuff.

"Ok the outlet was remachined in a mill. I stayed with the exact same shape but pushed everything out .100 or we could just round it off to an 1/8 inch after grinding.
After the mill work on the outlet, I used a die grinder and a lot of patience and dupilated the stock shape wich is a fairly large radius from the inside to the outside.

As far as flow data, I dont have it in front of me (I'm at work) but from memory I can tell you that a stock blower case with a stock upper manifold flowed 491.6 cfm 10" of H20 and the full boogy unit with all the porting and reshaping and clay work inside, it flowed 661 cfm. So it is possible to see 25 to 30% increase in flow. And all of the work is centered at the turn, your trying to get the air around that 180 degree turn and then load the rotors with a full charge of air.

There is epoxy on the floor of the upper manifold to reshape the short turn rad and make it more robust if you will. There is a spacer between the upper manifold and the blower case (1/2 inch tall) that adds more volume to the turn and then the roof and side of the blower case itself are blended into the whole mess. The 1/2 inch spacer is worth a flat 30 cfm on any blower.

Have Fun
Dale-"

Hope that helps some.

Get the one for $89, bending the tube is not a big deal. I did mine without a vise. Just a little leverage!!

No pic but the EGR tube is the stainless (?) tube that is about 1" in diameter on the driver side of the motor that runs from the EGR valve to the exhaust manifold. The EGR valve is on the driver side upper plenum. The tube is partially covered in black heat wrap.

Check out that thread, Joe describes it right on. His is right below that ufo looking disc and has some black wrap on it about 6 inches from the top. Id circle it but no photo software at work. Hope that helps, it shouldnt be hard to bend.

Yeah, think of it like plumbing. Do anything you have to do so you can take a dump.
