(since no one really chimed in and said "yes the catless helped me gain hp) because I figure with this much Tq, i can stand to loose a little bit and gain hp
Holy random thread resurrection Batman!!

I think that in the last two years he has probably made his decision already, lol.

I just hollowed my cats out myself and run MILs. You do get a louder sound and a mild increase in HP in your mid to upper range.

And it really helps build a good relationship with your neighbors, especially if you come home late at night

I kept all the cats on, but removed the single muffler. I heard the stock muffler is pretty free-flowing, so I hope i didnt loose too much backpressure...... As for sound, it idles like it did before, but at 1/2 throttle to full throttle, it's MUCH louder.

......and I hear in VA, as long as you have cats on, you can dump the muffler for good.

Also, screw emissions. I'm keeping my parents address in the sticks while i'm living in DC to avoid it.

I got the truck dyno'd again, since the previous dyno with electric fan, 2 psi more, 1 step colder plugs, 90mm mass air, 160 thermostat, borla catback, and bassani cat deletes, I picked up 50rwhp (max) from 4000rpms-redline (but a total of 30rwhp gain)so it definately helped flow on the high end. I also picked up another 50-60rwft.lbs of torque, putting me in the 4/5 club.
