I wish I could move to Texas, gotta love the weather. Too much traffic though.

I'm just a little tweaked! This is a mod that's my favorite so far, it sounds awesome. I just didn't think that I would have to clean the tips this much to keep rust away. It just looks like hell sometimes. Just like the factory.

If JDM has changed the design or made improvements, they should send us a new piece or something........

But.......

I am curious about this. You are saying the tips are rusting? How often do you clean them? I thought the JDM SB used Magnaflow tips? The reason I ask is because I am about to pick up a set of the Magnaflow tips but if they are this bad I may save that 100 bucks towards something else....

I thought the tips were SS?

From what JDM told me......

Yes, the tip are stainless...

But, not the weld's.

If your put 2 and 2 togather you get rust on the stainless.

So I guess your welds around your tips are rusting?

Bingo, that is were they rust and the get's on the stainless. This seem like it would not be that big of deal, but, try it when the exhaust is on the truck. You can't even get your finger in there.

There's lots of room around my tips. Ooops, that's right,
they are the Bassani version and are ALL SS, so they don't rust.

Here's the deal on these. The weld on the tips will rust. These tips are Magnaflow pieces that JDM welds together for a better look... which I agree with. If you buy the tips from Magnaflow, they are spaced apart like the Basani tips.
Just for the record, my tips never rusted - surprising, but true. What rusted was the piping from the mufflers to the tips. What I have been told was that the initial pipes were a junk finish. I am receiving new pipes that are aluminized. JDM is now switching over to FULL stainless piping as long as they can get their supplier in gear.
