Dealing with vendors...

I have had a few problems with an exhaust I purchased from a supporting vendor here. They said they would stand by their system and replace the bad pieces... that was January. I have communicated back and forth with them via all types of communication.... still no correct pieces delievered to me. It's always the same excuse that "we are building on Monday and will have to you in a couple of days". Honestly I am tired of it. Where can I go to take it the next step further. The system that I have fell apart - vendor admitted as well - and I was supposed to recieve new pieces... which I have never seen.
What do I do??

Did I not read a reply from the afore unmentioned vendor a few weeks ago at best, telling you to call them and they would take care of this issue immediately?
Of course I did, and of course you did as they requested. Now what can the problem be???
Good luck my friend.

Marc

I really hoped they would take care of it. They seemed concerned about both on the phone and in here, yet they have done absolutely nothing for me. I have been disappointed only in this vendor... plus all of the stories on here about them.... plus the ones we do not see since they are somehow deleted before we can see them.

Phil,

Please call the shop at 732/780/0770. We would like to discuss on how to prevent this from happening again. We sent you out a new set, were hoping the new coating will prevent the rust from coming back.

Thanks,

Justin@JDM

Man I'm having the same problem.......

It is rusting were the weld is in between the tips, looks like *****.

Not happy, I have to clean them all the time, with mother polish, then it comes back.

New coating? Hmmm....... I was not told about this!

Help me out JDM!

I don't think they'll cover that... my pipes were completely rusted... looks like a 200,000 mile exhaust system that went through snow/salt all of it's life... yes, it's that bad.

Curious, how long have you had the exhaust that's rusting in that tip area? There really is no excuse for a rust problem on an exhaust like that. Manufacturer should swap out the exhaust for one that has the problem area taken care of. Manufacturer would be foolish not to swap it out as in the long run he will lose more $ from the bad press then if he were just to do the right thing in regard to your exhaust. Suggest you take this issue off the board and contact the manufacturer directly. IF the dealer does not back up his product come here and report so others can avoid the product.

I've had my exhaust on for about a year.

NO WINTER driving for me. It sits.

I agree, they should send me a new one, but, they only give cleaning directions. Pretty lame. But, in the future I prolly won't do much business with them.

Just go see the JJ svt site. You will learn a bunch of things about his vendor.

93Cobra/Phil,

MOVE TO TEXAS with Elaine and I ! No salt and barely any snow/ice for even a week. Just watch out for the hail in the spring-time.

That'll take care of your corrosion issues. Hope you get it resolved!

Ronald

PS: Congrats on your "plans" for the future.
