ditto, my 99 did a best of 13.8 stock with only 250 miles on it so your 03 will roast that.

It happend to be 'el cheapo race whatever you got' night at the track so we had just about every yuppy out there driving their mom's minivan through the water box and leaving a lake on the starting line.

Although we have plenty of heat, the nights in Vegas are always a nice 72-78 degrees. We also have 94 and 100 octane pumps at almost every station

It's all in that 60ft. Work on that and you'll hit 13s.

Also, in this heat give your motor a good hour of cool off time with the hood open. I consistantly drop between 0.1-0.2 with a hot motor.

BTW: When I was bone stock my best (in the 85+ heat) was a 14.01 at 99.8mph I got that by having the tires at 27psi, a K&N panel filter, and launching at 800 rpms then somewhat moderately rolling into the throttle in about 1 full second. The tires would spin/chirp for about 1-2 ft.

Ran my stock 03' L last night after airing down the rear tires to about 25lbs and also pulling the boost bypass, hitch, spare, and jack out. I do have a stereo and snug lid which pretty much makes up for the weight I pulled off. Anyhow, it was about 75F with 30% humidity and the best run I managed was....

60' 2.307
330 6.130
1/8 9.243
MPH 79.18
1000 11.943
1/4 14.229
MPH 98.58

My best 60' out of 6 runs was 2.23. I was under the impression that a high 13 was more typical. Am I about on par for being stock? Is Dark Shadow Grey slower? Could you fellas reccommend some cheap, warranty friendly mods to get me firmly into the 13s so I can actually wear my damn helmet and not look like a poser carrying it around
Which track is this? Ca Speedway? If so, its 1200 ft and you should of hit 13's. Dont mash it off the line nor stall it. Ive seen someone in my club cut a 1.85 out there on f1's with no traction bars. Slightly heat them OUT of the water box. Keep your foot on the gas and when you see the 3rd yellow, pop the brake and roll into it.

That track hooks up like a ****, no pun intended. You need more practice launching your truck is all. You should hit a 13.7 no prob.

I have to drop my F1's to 16 psi. for them to even hook up but I can get a 1.90 60ft. with them. Also, put a towel on the blower and set a bag of ice on it for at least half an hour. That should get you some more mph.

1/4 14.229
MPH 98.58

You can still knock 1-3 tenths off that 60' on F1s. That would put you in the 13.3 - 13.4 range.

Glad you were able to see through the humidity..er..fog.

Leave the f-1s at 25 psi go through the water but when you do drag the burn out out of the box a bit so u pick up some of that sticky rubber from the slick tire cars...they dont need the rubber all the way back there anyway.now being u have that sticky rubber working with the f-1s bring the rpms to 1500 third yellow floor it.i managed to get a 1.85 60' with a 12.75 e.t. with f-1s with a chip and filter.I pulled a mid 1.9 60' with a 13.2 e.t.bone stock full weigt so you sould be able to hook up,especially with that lid on the back.Use the test and tune to do just that otherwise youll never really find out what works. You should get a 13 sec pass out of that truck easy just play with it.
