Bill,

the 1992 is a different engine set up, if its a possibility for you get a new GT engine (or late model, depending on how much you'd like to spend) and bolt on the AED kit to it!

the kit is 6psi with the stock pulley, easily increasable but not recommended on stock internals. Port and Polish job required for more boost.

the car is around 330hp now, should run mid 13's with a good driver.

I posted some pix on my site, am currently working on a write up to complement AED's instrucitons they send me... we had some troubles with their write up for this model year so I'll send them a copy to put out for future customers. There were also quite a few parts missing that stalled the install. Plus me and my friend who was doing the install were working all week regular hours than meeting up for a couple of hours to play with this car, thats why it took so long, a professional mechanic would have had it done in 9 hours if all the components were included.

here's the pix:

I'm going to Canada and Michigan in two weeks for Ford 100th Anniversary should be a good test on this thing... I already put 250 miles on it in two days and no leaks or problems so far (knock on wood!!!)

Morning Russ:

Not too sure what you mean by my TC being different than your PI. Mine is a late build 1992 with the 4.6 and EOD trannie which other than small detail differences is pretty similar to what you have as far as I know. You may be thinking of the 5.0 motored TCs which were built into late 1991 maybe early 1992.

In any case, just about anything that will fit a 4.6 Stang or Panther CV will fit my motor. The car is low miles (50K) and in pristine condition. Inherited it from my Mom 2 years ago and it was a CA car all it's life till I drove it to GA. Garaged 100% of the time and driven every weekend if it doesn't rain. The 6psi would be fine and with a chip/filter and exhaust should yield about what you expect. 210 stock and about 330 maybe even 350 blown.

I have a LincolnMotorsports MAF/filter/air box on the way and will do the exhaust when that arrives. It has a wierd PCM code so will have to send the PCM in to have it read and mapped. That should get me to about 250/260 using the normal parameters.
From what I read, an 8psi blower gives about +100 hp so a 6psi would give a little less I guess.

Looking forward to hear more about how yours runs once you get it sorted out.
Bill
