In other words...I have a flip chip and a two pounder. I want a four pounder just for the track. Do I have my chip burned side one street/2lb and side two race/4lb?? Whats the hot ticket guys???
Or if I have my street side burned for my 4, will it run ok with my 2?

Whip,
I run soooooooo many differant combo's with my tune that it aint even funny
I run my gas program with these 4 combo's
4lb's Gas Only
4lb's Nitrous
6lb's Gas Only
6lb's Nitrous
Then I run my other Program (Nitrous / Mild Gas Program)
With the same 4 Combo's
4lb's Gas Only
4lb's Nitrous
6lb's Gas Only
6lb's Nitrous
For all 8 Combo's I use the same plugs, same tune, same gas, same everything without EVER having a Prob. I drive it 24/7, I race it often, I juice it on the street and track, and it's my daily driver. Ok so maybe I change programs every week. Tweaking them as I get to know them (I'm on my 10th Program @ 10k)
But the trick is to burn your chip for more Pulley Boost than you have, (if your running 4, burn it for 6) Plus Super Rich A/F, Plus run "2" Zones Colder Plugs. Ya you'll give up a little ET, but it makes the tune MUCH MORE FORGIVING
Right now everyone thinks I'm nuts cause I'm running 18 degrees of timing on my daily street program, but I get no detonation on pump gas and I've tested differant settings and know I can run it safe, "AS LONG AS I KEEP IT RICH". But at the track I'll prob do as I always do and only run it with 4 lbs + Juice, making it even more rich. I've never fouled a plug, or burned a Denso w/ the 8 combos.
(I did melt 3 TR-6's but that was a clogged Fuel filter 8 tunes ago)
Although the pulleys are interchangeable in design, wouldn't a reburn for a larger (or smaller) pulley size be the ideal setup? For example, if I had an interchangeable pulley setup and want to go from a 2# to a 6#, I would need a reburn regardless of how easy swapping pulleys is correct?
And as for the price, JDM lists an interchangeable pulley setup with 4# for 445 while a regular cageless pulley goes for around 200. So basically it is double the price and if you were looking to buying a smaller pulley now and expect to go bigger lately, the math doesn't add up for the interchangeable at more than DOUBLE the price of 2 seperate cageless pulleys.
And then you have the problem of getting that sucker off...
Again, not a flame towards any particular vendor and I only used PSP and JDM as examples because neither listed both setups (interchangeable and cageless) on their websites...
Just trying to figure out the logic behind the purchase of a caged interchangeable pulley.

You could go with a flip chip and have a burn from a 2# to a 6# or run the 6# program on the lower pulley sizes. Of course your truck will be running a hell of a lot richer but it saves you $$ down the road with the reburn scam going on.
Dont go getting greedy with the timing on the street though when you step up to the big daddy 6#
Head over to Blueovalperformance for the same interchangeble pulley setup without high markup.

I have a JL 5lb lower on my L and interchangeable 270 upper pulley on. I like this configuration and run it all the time.
Another good thing about the Metco interchangeable Lower is you can use the same Hub for a 99 - 03 L, All you need to buy is another ring to increase your boost. You don't have to buy a whole new pulley, just a ring. They have a small bushing that fits in the back of the hub for all year models.
