Nay and it will lean you out without a tune.

The PRO-M Sewer 95mm pipe works better, but will also require a tune.

Any aftermarket MAFs out there that are "well-tuned?" I've heard some bad things about Pro-M, etc....

Aren't some already maxing out their MAFs?

95MM Pro-M On Dante's truck... Works VERY well if you get tuned.

You need the extra 5mm to keep from pegging the sucker. Even JDM has to port the stockers.

95mm sewer pipe shows 31 hp at the rear wheels on an 03 Cobra. $250 is hardly considered a waste of money.

Look at the stocker. It tapers inward. The sewer pipe is 95mm throughout.

According to Pro Ms website their 95mm maf for the Lightning is good for 700 horsepower. Anyone think that this is BS?? I am curious to know.

Seeing what the stocker pegs out at , 600 plus some change, i would say 700 is right on.

The Ford 90mm, C&L 95mm, and Pro-M 95mm all peg at the same spot. We've tuned vehicles with both the 95s and they did not extend MAF range at all. I also have both the x-fer functions (flow data) for both 95s and they both flow only a barely measureable amount more than the Ford 90. As a matter of fact, the Ford 90 flows more at lower voltages. It's kind of strange, but true.

Didnt see one peg out here. Also, they arent pegging on the Cobras... What if you were to try a Cobra MAF on a Lightning? Anyone done this yet? Or, pull the electronics out of the Cobra Maf and plop it into the Lightning...

Just because its 4.6 litres doesnt mean its passing less air. If that was the case, it wouldnt be using a 90mm MAF. Ford would be using the 80MM to save $$.

I've talked to the owner of C&L about the Lightning kit. It is designed for a stock or slightly modified truck. I have no doubt you will get the gains he claims on that level. Plus all the C&L stuff I have seen has been great quality. However he has not done any testing on a highly modified Lightning. If you truck is stock I don't think you can go wrong with the kit. If you are looking at running 10s though the kit may help but there is no testing to back it up, at least from C&L.

Even though i havent done these tests on a Ligthtning, YET ,i have gone through the pains with a supercharged cobra. From a tuning standpoint, a C&L meter can be a serious nightmare, just as with Pro-M. This is one of the reasons Pro-M designed a " blow thru " meter. The meters are hit and miss. Some people have great experiences with them, some do not.

I guess when we get Dante's truck back on the dyno pushing the huge volume of air his motor is capable of pushing, ill have data to share with you all with regards to the Pro-M Sewer pipe.

If Don see's this thread, perhaps he can chime in to see how Jim handled his tuning this past weekend with his meter.
