EXACTLY!!!There for a while I was posting what you needed to do the kit so you could go to a MACHINE shop and give them the angles and dimensions to make the items up.But after talking with a lawyer that stopped to.Since I could still be sue'd for the design.the best I CAN do is show you a pic and YOU figure it out.
It is not prefect by any means but it cuts the toe change in half so its a huge improvement.would also benefit the drag comunity to since when the truck lifts it toes in real bad and toe in is drag!!Stan

 

here is the pic I said I would post.I know this is safe because I have bent the alum shaft to about 10 degrees when i did NOT check for any clearance issuesthe Heim is the highest quality I could find at ANY price.Will take over 40,000 psi or so they say.Chrome moly end and grade 8 bolts.IF you decide to do this I would not go anymore than grade 8 due to the fact you want things to bend and NOT snap so you will still have some control over the vehicle.Stan

Stan I know you are concerned about liability, but it is hard to tell from the photos. In a "non sue me" sort of way could you post some differant pictures?

Stan raising or lowering the tie rod will adjust the amount of bumpsteer correct, am I going in the right direction?

 

yes it will affect the toe change.BUT to really affect toe change you need to change the PIVOT points of the Tie-rods.what the majority of the bump steer kits out there do is just the outer pivot point.but to really correct bump steer you need to change the inner piont to,either by making it longer,shorter or up and down in relation to the spindle.
And to find an alignment shop that is willing to work with you on getting the heights and such rite.If it is done wrong or in a hurry[just slap it on it will work attitude] will get you KILLED.when I do a bumpsteer kit I charge anywhere from 2 to 4 hrs to do that alone!!and the alignment is extra.so choose your shop wisly!! and cost is not to be a major factor in choosing.Find someone that KNOWS and UNDERSTANDS what you and the kit are doing and pay them well.Stan
