Actually if you read my posts i'm not bragging about it. I'm just defending it.
And i wouldn't know about any 260 rwhp Hemi because there isn't one around. Now if i could just remember what motor was banned from racing..........Oh, that's right, the Hemi, becuse it was unfair for them to when all the time. Now everyone bases their drag motors after them, even Ford. The only Ford motor that was banned, was banned because they couldn't sell enough.

As for defending the SRT-10, it's a lost cause around here. The truck looks gaudy and that rear wing is nothing but an afterthought. The exhaust is also very plain and the 22 inch wheels hinder the performance of the truck a lot. The shifter is long and awkward and the interior looks chinzy.
The only thing it has going for it is the Viper V10, which is a respectable motor in itself. However, the overall package and price of the SRT-10 is simply not worth it. Even the true diehard Dodge performance enthusiast thinks a lot of the qualities of a performance truck are amiss.
Hint: It's not the rated 345 hp

And as for who will be better at the track, like you said, we shouldn't be comparing them with mods but rather bone stock. Mods and money don't mean anything at the track, just who has the quicker timeslips. That means I want to see an SRT-10 BONE STOCK with its 22 inch wheel and tire package beat a BONE STOCK Lightning.

After I put my Hotchkis full suspension and QA-1's, upgrade my brakes and do some more mods. I'll have less money in my L, will look better and outperform the SRT-10 in any aspect.
The SRT-10 is overpriced. To make it right it should have an 5 speed auto take some weight out.
