Two things:
1. Working in and around dealerships for the last 20 years, no dealer gets a vehicle before they are released to all dealers and the SRT 10 has not been released to the publis and is not due out till Fall, if even then. Production is not in process yet. Two SRT-10's are in fact built and have been released to the magazines for testing, neither of which are for sale and both are 6 speed manuals - 1-Red and 1-Black and both will be destroyed because they do not carry VIN 3"s as they are for testing only as in concept vehicles.
2. No automatic will be available the 1st year of production, if produced at all. Only a 6 speed, and I might add a 6 speed that shifts like a 18 wheeler. You who have driven a Viper know it's a pile of trash 6 speed at best.
Its was a clone at best and only made to look like a SRT-10. There is one here in Houston that is the new HEMI reg cab with the SRT-10 dressing by a local modification shop. It too is an automatic and would not hold a candle to a stock Lightning, Gen 2 that is.

I do own one Ford still, a '71 Pinto.
But that will be getting a 526 HEMI.

You go and take your "stock" Mopar V10 to Le Mans or Daytona, he!! take it out to any road course and see how long it lasts.
If your saying it is based on the stock mopar V10, then your correct.
Ford ran the same motor at Le Mans too and they won overall
, not just "1st in class" as Chrysler did w/Viper. + Ford did it 37 years ago
excuse me for my technical mis-communication. There is a major difference between the "old" dodge truck V10 and the Viper V10. The Viper gets better power and milage. There is also a difference between a street Viper and a Le Mans Viper. They do have a slightly different block for weight concerns but you can buy all the race parts and put them on the street car just like with most other vehicles.
37 years is a long time, 17 years before i was born, things have changed since then, i'm suprised you can use the keyboard with a comment like that.

Its allways so funny when some d i c k head decides to troll on some other board. Tell ya what, stay on your almighty dodge board till the "Lightning killer" hits the street. When It finally hits the street, you will not have to look long and far for a Lightning to run. Hell, I'll look you up
The only people I want to hear brag about the SRT-10 are the OWNERS. Don't come in here with your Daks and RTs talking ***** about a "Lightning Killer" YOU don't even own.
The difference between you and us is that we are bragging about our OWN trucks, not another model that Ford makes. That and we're still OWN faster trucks than you

Do your math dumb-*** i'm twenty, oh wait i should put, 20 so u can fiqure it out. Anyway it's 5:35 where i'm at. I'm here because of a link from someone else and i wonder how they found it. http://allpar.com/ed/2003/ford.html
Go to a junk yard and guess what you'll see the most of. Ok other than GM's, u will see Fords. I have seen more dead ford's than anyother vehicle i have towed more than my fair share of them. I have found few things from Ford that i like, most of their stuff is just cr*p.
Fu*cked

Dodge
And if you look at Fords early history, as Redneck Ferrari is so fond of bringing up, it is true. Dodge built most of their parts, including engines and frames, and owned 12% of Ford.
