If you aren't worried then why did you 1.) register on a Ford board and 2.) post in a Lightning forum?? Oh I guess you just happened to come upon this place in your sleep ,of course! I'd doubt you are on some Chevy board running off at your filthy sewer. You are here because you know that precious $50,000 truck that you are defending is going to get walked and make Dodge wonder why they even bothered wasting time making it to begin with.

Two things:
1. Working in and around dealerships for the last 20 years, no dealer gets a vehicle before they are released to all dealers and the SRT 10 has not been released to the publis and is not due out till Fall, if even then. Production is not in process yet. Two SRT-10's are in fact built and have been released to the magazines for testing, neither of which are for sale and both are 6 speed manuals - 1-Red and 1-Black and both will be destroyed because they do not carry VIN 3"s as they are for testing only as in concept vehicles.
2. No automatic will be available the 1st year of production, if produced at all. Only a 6 speed, and I might add a 6 speed that shifts like a 18 wheeler. You who have driven a Viper know it's a pile of trash 6 speed at best.
Its was a clone at best and only made to look like a SRT-10. There is one here in Houston that is the new HEMI reg cab with the SRT-10 dressing by a local modification shop. It too is an automatic and would not hold a candle to a stock Lightning, Gen 2 that is.

DON'T WORRY YOU WILL LOSE -

Especially when you happen on that first smart *** that puts a Sean Roe on his SRT and belts out 900 HP....

But it ain't gonna be me because I won't be buying either one...

If you'll excuse me...I have a Dart to build..(one that will kill you off the line and hand you your *** in the turns)

Trucks are made to haul...
Cars are made to HAUL ***!!!

JUST REMEMBER: IT"S NOT ABOUT THE LOVE, IT'S ABOUT THE RACING!!!!
No offense but why are you even on this site, to cause trouble???? You know your going to **** off a bunch of ford owners when you say stupid crap like that. People like you that troll on other sites like you need to be kicked off here. Stay the facts and thats it, until a new SRT 10 blows a lightnings doors off you have nothing to prove it can other them some numbers and figures dodge has posted. And for your 900 hp SRT-10, wow thats great I'm so happy for you but don't forget about all the other ford vehicles with little modding that will hand a dodge its *** too! There's always someone faster then you and I know a handfull of people that would hand your dart its a$$ with bow tie wrapped around it! I'll remember to stop by all the dodge sites when the new gen 3 lightning comes out and eats the viper and SRT-10 alive! And thats just fords pickup truck, dont' forget about the cobra and he new GT coming out too! You dodge boys are really in trouble

If it is a trash six speed then why would Aston Martin use that tranny in there new car. The transmission is just fine. What you people aren't realizing is that you don't always race in a strat line. With those 22" and wide tires they will stick to the road in a turn while your stock L will be fish-tailing. I love Dodge and will die when it dies. I hate ford because of all the sh*t i have been through with them. If u like them i don't care, we will see who is better on the track. With mods, anyone can beat everyone with enough money, but remember, Dodge is running the same motor they use in Le Mans and if you get a Mopar catalog they have a lot of performance race sh*t for that motor.
I do own one Ford still, a '71 Pinto.
But that will be getting a 526 HEMI.

Not quite or close really!
You go and take your "stock" Mopar V10 to Le Mans or Daytona, he!! take it out to any road course and see how long it lasts.
If your saying it is based on the stock mopar V10, then your correct.
Ford ran the same motor at Le Mans too and they won overall
, not just "1st in class" as Chrysler did w/Viper. + Ford did it 37 years ago

excuse me for my technical mis-communication. There is a major difference between the "old" dodge truck V10 and the Viper V10. The Viper gets better power and milage. There is also a difference between a street Viper and a Le Mans Viper. They do have a slightly different block for weight concerns but you can buy all the race parts and put them on the street car just like with most other vehicles.

37 years is a long time, 17 years before i was born, things have changed since then, i'm suprised you can use the keyboard with a comment like that.

Isn't it time for you to go to bed now?
Its allways so funny when some d i c k head decides to troll on some other board. Tell ya what, stay on your almighty dodge board till the "Lightning killer" hits the street. When It finally hits the street, you will not have to look long and far for a Lightning to run. Hell, I'll look you up

The only people I want to hear brag about the SRT-10 are the OWNERS. Don't come in here with your Daks and RTs talking ***** about a "Lightning Killer" YOU don't even own.

The difference between you and us is that we are bragging about our OWN trucks, not another model that Ford makes. That and we're still OWN faster trucks than you

Go to a junk yard and guess what you'll see the most of. Ok other than GM's, u will see Fords. I have seen more dead ford's than anyother vehicle i have towed more than my fair share of them. I have found few things from Ford that i like, most of their stuff is just cr*p.

Dodge

And if you look at Fords early history, as Redneck Ferrari is so fond of bringing up, it is true. Dodge built most of their parts, including engines and frames, and owned 12% of Ford.
