If you have pretty decent credit, you can go 72months on a new lightning and get 5.0%. If you borrow 20,000, then your payment will be 322. So you might need about 10,000 down.

Thats basically what I did, went in with no money, gave them some small deposit on my Credit Card stretched it out over 72 months @ 515.00 a month.

Work pays me $400.00 a month for car allowance

The key is A/X-Plan, bullet-proof credit and the steady fat paychecks to back it up!

I bought my L in Aug.2000. I put 12,000 down and leased it.
My payments were 288 for 2yrs after 2yrs I bought it for 15502.
You can get better payment on a lease program. Whats the differ if you lease from ford or finance though bank, your leasing it from bank anyway. I may be all backwards but you dont pay sales tax. Only on payment . about 18$ a month. which is better than15-1600 the day you buy. You could use the sales tx saving to put on down payment. And I do believe ford would have no warranty problems with your L since they own it. The way a lease works is basically ****er for best price and then for every 1000 you put down the payment goes down 50$. what ever. Ed

Actually, its become quite the norm to finance a vehicle for 72 mo. Especially with the price of trucks now. I havent financed anything less than 72 for as long as i can remember.
