This came to mind when I was moving 3 weeks ago. I was going through alot of stuff, trying to decide what to keep and what to throw away. I had BOXES of timeslips for a few different cars and wanted to see if anyone else knows the amount of passes they have made. Needless to say I cleaned ALOT of JUNK out... LOL...

What I found slips for:

98 Contour SVT- 245 Slips (14.9-15.7 range)
94 Z28- 387 Slips (11.3-14.0 Range)
78- Malibu- 145 Slips (10.38-12.30 Range)
00 Ram Air Grand Am- 45 Slips (15.3- 15.5 Range)
01 Honda CBR - 72 Slips (10.80- 12.0 Range)
85 S10- 42 Slips (11.50-11.80 Range)
03 GT- 28 Slips (13.6-14.0 Range)
82 Vette- 5 Slips (14.9's)

I had 2 shoe boxes FULL of L tickets... LOL!!

Thats alot of passes with a stock motor, tranny, rear, and only bolt ons!!

 

Well the 2nd Gen guys I race with up here in New England will laugh, we were just discussing this at Epping last weekend.
I have 117 time slips to date, I have be measuring my progress.
and to date ; NO breaks.

 

Not sure if I would advertise that. If you were looking to sell, I'd be very hesitant to purchase a truck that has 275 miles of drag racing on the strip. Is there a formulation like for dog years to convert 1/4 mile trips to simulated mileage ?.

 

Just counted my slips, exactly 75, ranging from 13.48 down to 11.84. Talk about memories, I remember when I had minimal mods and struggling to break into the 12's, geez, talk about opening up Pandora's Box. Now it's never ending, but it's fun, John H.

Rich already got rid of his truck, he now has a Mustang.
I just counted up the ones I have together and it is only 47 passes with the L. I guess I will have to get it to the track soon to start getting that number up and my E.T. down.

With my L? About 10 passes after 3 different trips to the strip, in almost 4 years of ownership. I gotta get out more.

 

I have I think 19 passes on the L and 4 in my 94 trans am. So 23 total passes down the track...
First 4 in the L were stock. 14.3, 14.2, 14.0, 13.8 then I ran at us 41 10 times total that day. Best that day was 13.02 and then after that I blew my trans... Then recently at rt 66 I ran 5 times. My first 12 second pass. 12.8, 12.7, 12.6, 12.7 and best 12.64

Big difference in times EVERY time I went to the track...
ta- 15.2, 15.2, 14.8, 14.8 stock and consitent
L- worst time ever... 21.50 somethen at us 41 when I blew my trans- best time of 12.64

 

I have never raced my truck. It is 100% stock.

Wow it's 5 to get in and 5 to run. It's 1/8 mile. You can run all night for 10!!!!!!!!!

A 1/4 mile, about 30 min. away charges 15 to get in and race. You guys are getting beat!!!!!

 

I only race when SVT tells me its OK.At SVTOA events.They wanna make sure they are there to void my warranty when i blow it up in front of them.

I use to go there all the time, help out of private rental days. I have moved about 10 miles away so im Still REAL CLOSE!!

I ran my truck almost every Fri, Sat, & Sun for two years striaght. When I sold her she had 26,129 miles on here. Most of the miles were track miles, or street racing miles. When she went out of state, it was to go RACING!!! LOL...

SO over 1000 Passes and only one broken driveshaft... Thats pretty good in my eyes... Way to go FORD!!

The sad thing is the truck is almost a mod virgin now, the guy that bought her took about 50% of the stuff off and is selling it to a guy in the Kings Dominion Area of VA on 5/12/03. So anyone in that area can look for my old beauty!
