alphadoggy,
where did you buy your bushings?
From Ruslow. But they were a royal pita to install. In the Prothane kit the stock lower control arm bolts are too large for the supplied sleeves, and have to be taken down on a lathe, or something. And the old bushings are incredibly resistant to removal, probably easiest to burn them out with an oxycetalene torch. I'd look for a better engineered kit than the Prothane.
(btw, i did try to answer your e-mail, but my message came back undeliverable).

Actually I got my first clue from Terry (L8-APEX), who added a spoiler to his truck to counteract the tendency of the Hotchkis set-up to oversteer in the sweepers. Later on he dumped the Hotchkis coils and installed some stiffer ones (1100s, I think) from Ruslow. I just thought I'd skip the install Hotchkis step and go straight to Ruslow's. Perhaps I did overexaggerate the problem, nobody refers to anything more than "mild" oversteer. Oversteer is speed related, though, the faster the turn the more the oversteer, and personally I don't want ANY oversteer on my truck in high speed sweepers. It'll be interesting to see how you like the Hotchkis at Fontana this weekend. . . .
I only got one 20-minute run in, George, but it was awesome. Although I was held up on almost every turn and 90% of the time I was well below 10/10ths, the truck handled like a dream.

The mild understeer I currently have was PERFECT for the high-banked oval. The push increased with speed, making the handling feel very stable and the limits predictable. Even with the stock F1s (43 PSI F, 40 PSI R), the truck handled like a dream. Other than one time at the SVTOA event on the off-camber turn near the top of the course, I have still never had the rear end come out, even on hard acceleration.

But this was the first time I really wished that we didn't have auto trannys. The downshifts often came at inappropriate times.

But all in all, the handling was superb! It was truly other-worldly. Can't wait to do it again.

How do you like your new suspension? Did you manage to get more than 20 minutes out of your new shoes?

When is your next event? I'd love to get a ride-along.

Tim, I wanted to tell you that your web site is absolutly fantastic. I'm going to install the Flex-a-Lite fan and it will be a piece of cake with the posted instructions (and pics). You do have one thing on your site that is wrong. You state that you did not buy the Roush lowering kit because the ride is to rough. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have had it installed in my 03 for six days now and could not be happier. Your comments on your site had me worried to death. This is not me trying to be an A-hole, I really enjoy your site but I wanted to let you know you are wrong when it comes to the Roush set-up.
