Zaino Help

I bet I have over 100 hours in waxing vehicles and lately I have heard some very good things about Zaino and have read many articles on it. Can you guys tell me which products I need? I want to start with a clay bar and end up it an unbelieveble shine on my 2003 Grey L...

Sean

PS - This will be a bday gift from my girlfriend so I'm willing to go all out!!

Hey man that Zaino is some bad stuff. I just put some on my car not to long ago. Start off with the clay bar and then the pre cleaner. Lay down the wax and then use the highgloss spray. Your truck is new so that should do the trick.

The only thing I done like about it, it doesnt seem to hold up for a long time, but for the the shine that it gives, I am willing to wax my ride once every month or two. Good Luck

Thanks for the reply Hollywood, I'm not too concerned about the hold up of the wax because I only drive the truck on nice days and I have covered parking at work as well.

I wish there was a Zaino starter kit I could buy, I'm really willing to start from scratch.

Personally, I would recommend you save yourself the time and money and not go with the Zaino. I bought the hype hook line and sinker myself...and was/am very dissappointed with the results. I spent a great deal of money and an insane amount of time doing the whole Zaino process. I got the special towels, then had them specially cut and sewn with cotton thread..I followed all the instructions as well as all the tips and tricks to a T.

The results weren't bad...they just weren't anything great. I tried it on 3 different vehicles, all different colors. The shine was ok...no better than a carnuba product, perhaps a touch duller. The "swirl remover" was a complete joke....and did nothing to hide even the faintest lines...even after 3 applications.

Realize though that I am in the minority here, but I invite you to see the results on someone else's vehicle first IN PERSON before you decide (pics can be very decieving). I sure wish I had.

The stuff does smell really good though! So that's gotta be worth something.

Zaino sceptic ...

I have been a Zaino doubter for awhile - so I went out and bought the stuff soon as the weather breaks I'll get on it ... It's going to have to go some though to beat the new Mother's products. I've heard some noise on here about some cherry wet wax or some such nonsense...

Anyway, your truck is to new to clay bar - (no need) and for swirl remover so far I found 3M to be the best - as a matter of fact 3M makes some really, really good products ...

O.K. to answer on where to get it with a CC# Eckler's sells it online now - go here ...

http://www.ecklers.com/

in the search box type zaino - good luck I hear it's a PITA to do a car with this *****...

Man, I don't think that's the case at all. I use it on my black 2000 Lightning and my wife's black 2001 GTP, plus previous cars we've had. It's very simple to apply, and removal is even easier. You can leave this stuff on overnight if you want and it still comes off easily.

I've done at least 10 full applications of Zaino, and dozens of intermediate treatments and I think this stuff is great - easy on and easy off, leaving a brilliant shine.

I just bought all the right stuff from my local Zaino expert. had to get the right products for a white truck... anyway. I'll be doing it after a 3m swirl job in the next few weeks. Then adding atleast 6 coats. I'll post pics when its done.

i've tried carnuba....zaino blows it away.
zaino does not remove swirls..it'll fill in some minor ones is all.

easy on and off...done right it's awesome....applying too much results in a not so good job.

Zaino takes no more time to prep then waxing your car.

Do you clay bar your vehicle before its waxed real good the first time? Remove swirls, etc?

Whats the prob? Zaino takes less time then waxing once you do your first coat. Not to mention, blows Carnubas away in endurance and looks.

Check out my gallery for pics of zaino on black.

Cherry Wet Wax is good but has absolutely the worst endurance.

Zaino blows Mothers away. There is no comparison.

You would need multiple glazes and several coats of carnuba just to even come close to the first coat of zaino. Tell me which one is more work.

Due to my advanced age, I have owned and waxed many, many cars in my time. In my opinion (and I am also in the minority around here) Zaino is just not that hot. Too much work, too many steps and the finish doesn't last any longer than any of the better products out there. All you have to do is read the posts and you begin to see a pattern among users. Examples - "I love Zaino, I put a fresh coat on every month". "It's so easy to apply, I do it every month".

Ha ha...good observation mswaim. I found that the Zaino seemed to wash away after the very first wash. I was hoping that despite the mediocre results, that maybe at least it would last a long time, and that simply was not the case. Oh well. I would try cherry wet wax but I fear that I would just be getting sucked into another one of these snake oil products that turns out to be too good to be true.

If you washed your truck with Dawn everytime (or other
detergent type cleanser) then you removed the Zaino
every time you washed. That would necessitate starting
over every week, and is NOT the Zaino process.

I have had a three coat shine on mine that still rinsed
clean after 8 months of daily driving. I think you must
have another problem other than the product.

The best thing I like about Zaino is that it is a clear
product that doesn't "whiten" in the cracks of the
car and on the trim pieces.

PS.... NEW vehicles can have massive amounts of railroad
brake dust that only come off with the clay bar ...
