Calling Kidtriton...or anyone else that might know!

After reading your explanation in this thread:

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hreadid=108866

and seeing your sig, it lead me to believe you have a thorough knowledge of the electrical system on the Lightnings. I hav an 01 that blows the fuse for gauge illumination. I took it to Ford and they replaced the fuse panel but the fuse kept blowing. My truck went into hibernation and hasnt gone back. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I just read svt4rd's reply in that thread, could that be a possible reason why this is happening?

If its just the 5A fuse for the ip illum, then its probably isolated to the cluster illumination, or a aftermarket radio (if you have one). The reason i was so quick to point out the problem in that other thread is because that was a common problem that i see every couple of weeks at work. As for a ip illum fuse blowing, its not that common and i really cant think of anything ive really ever seen more than once on a f150. i do know that the ip illumination in a lightning uses a film to light up, not bulbs, and i have seen 1 or 2 quit working, but in those cases it didnt blow the fuse, it just didnt work. I guess on this one you will have to let someone diagnose it that can get their hands on it.
