cypri: check out all the rest of the "how to's" on http://www.svtlightnings.com/
i have two write ups on there..

the how to on the foglights was written for daytime running lights, and i had to make sure that it was the same for regular lights.

I wrote the original HOW-TO, which is still hosted on my homepage at http://rcarino.home.mindspring.com/l...oglamp_mod.htm

Unfortunately, at the time I figured out the mod, I didn't have a digital camera to take photos of the process. One of the other members of F150 Online (Bob McLane) did have a camera and was able to take photos of the process. The web page at SVTLightnings.com is a combination of my instructions with Bob's photos. I really should take my own sometime and update the content on there.

Anyway, I originally did not write the instructions with anything but my own Lightning in mind, which does not have DRL. The mention of DRL at all in the instructions was in response to F150Online member WHAT04 who did have a Canadian Lightning with DRL at the time. I also mentioned a few other possible configurations with some creative wire splicing.

Sorry about the confusion, and sorry about missing this thread for a long time. However, it is nice to know that I have made a lasting contribution to the Lightning community, since I don't have any other mechanical skills.

You may or may not have figured this out yet, BUT
rahter than CUTTING of filing a ramp it is way easier to take a solding iron or a exacto knife/razor and heat it up (glowing) and "cut" in your ramp with that. Takes WAY less time is very clean and neat.

Be very careful with HOT items as they can and will burn your skin resulting in pain. Keep all arms and legs inside the vehicle while in motion.

I thought I saw a vendor tat was selling the switch as a ready to go replacement. I am guessing that they just do the mod for you and then ship it back?

Putting #2 and #12 wires toghter won't cause any problems will it. Like shorting somthing out or wires getting hot causing a fire?

So if i splice the #2 wire and the #12 wire, the foglights will come on with the corners.
Thanks
Mike

I think the 2 12 is for ON WITH HI BEAMS ... There are
other wiring options such as ALWAYS on, etc. but you have to
know what the wires are in the harness.
