security

I did alot of research, and the Clifford Concept series seems to be one of the best. I got a price quote for the Concept 600 series installed, it i can't remember the number but i was much cheaper than i expected. Around $400 ish maybe. The only problem is I trust NO ONE with my truck and if i have it done, i'm not dropping it and leaving it, i'm gonna sit there all day untill it's done.

My question is will i need to alter my chip at all for this alarm???

Thanks for all the great responses fellas.

Tallimeca...I pretty much the same way.

I'm now looking for the best place in the DFW area to get the system installed. Anyone know anything about Car Toys? I'll save up for the right installation; I just want the best place.

I had a bad experience with Car Toys in Oregon. My lack of knowledge 4 years ago on stereo equipment was in my mind BADLY taken advantage of. I personally wont use them again, not that I live anywhere near one anymore though........

I think as far as installers go, and phones, and alarms you should be ok. As long as you have done your homework and know what you are getting and like the price I would use them. Don't let one bad experience from a few trips there for me sway you from them.

Hey, no problem, zbornac. This is just the kind of stuff I'm looking for. Thanks for the input, man.

I put a Clifford 7000 alarm system on my Navigator after getting over $3000.00 of stereo gear and another $2000.00 of damage done to it. It's a great system and very simple to use. About a month after I had my system completed again, the f'ing thief came back to hit me again. This time the alarm saved my butt. An alarm isn't going to completely deter all thieves, but a good quality alarm and an excellent install can deter at least 90% of them. Choose a quality alarm with the features you want and go with the best recommended installer you can find.
