KB or Works have a boost bypass? Needed on stock blower?

I am in the process of porting my stock blower. I'm trying to decide if it is wise to block off the boost bypass. Any thoughts? Do the new aftermarket superchargers have a bypass?

Yes they both have bypasses.

There's no reason to block off the bypass, it's not going to gain you any power. Blocking it off will make the blower produce more heat at idle, and at cruise when the boost would normally be vented.

Thanks. Guess I won't be blocking it then. I thought it was probably a bad idea but was just thinking about how to improve air flow into the blower. Seems like if that big hole wasn't there the air would flow better.

Do Not block off the by pass valve.its designed to keep the heat from the blower at part throttle and at idle out of the engine. without the bypass valve the blower will be trying to produce boost at idle but more important it will begin to heat up at a tremendous rate which is Not what we want it to do...The KB Unit comes with the bypass valve in the factory location like the Factory designed Eaton has...JL
