Lightbulb Question For Those Running High-Flow Cats!

I am currentlly running the JDM Silver Bullet cat-back. I love the sound but would like it to be a little louder especially at idle. I have been told that if I replace the 4 factory cats with a set of
high-flow cats that my exhaust system will have a lot louder sound and gain a few hp along the way. To those that have already done this is this true?

Cool

HI!... I'm currently running the S/S JDM/KOOKS LT headers, MAGNAFLOW : high flow cats, 4x9 mufflers, "X" pipe, and 3" tips. My 5.4 is still pretty quit at idle but has a very distinct deeper rumble to it. Now touch the throttle and well... that's a different story.

HI!... Big1Daddy : I'm using the MAGNAFLOW high flow cat PART # MF-94306. They are stainless steel. I got all my exhaust components from MIKE TROYER.

Thanks for all the info. If it would just stop raining or snowing for a couple days I could get my Magnaflow converters installed!!

Rich, yeah my cousin (10secL) has a set of custom converters himself. Talk about high-flows!

As was reported on this page, the biggest hp gains seem to come from the Hi-flow cats, but if you want real loud.....the Kooks/Hi-flow cats/Bassani sure fits that bill

And at idle it sure sounds sweet!

I know what you mean Gator, we're in a league of our own. I had one guy tell me that he's NEVER heard anything like that before. I told him that there's never been anything like this before, that's why.
