I know the hard core guys are getting motors built but is EVERYBODY that is getting the KB getting there motor built?

Who has one or has one on order that is planning on running it with the STOCK internals?

I only wish there was lawaway or finacing on these new blowers and built bottom end. Thats a big chunk of change for a lot of people.

 

Thinking of maybe KB first then built bottom. I know it should be the other way around .
Just tossing some ideas around.
I heard through the grapevine that another RED L wants a piece of me and he has $40K into his truck and I only have $23K, so I have a few dollars to make up.
Just want to be ready.

Plus if I blow my bottom end up then I will have to get a built one. At least that is how I would approach it with the fiance.

Well I have the 112 with a Stock Bottom End..... I hope it will last but who knows.... It will be fun for now though!!

 

And I know you will take it to its limit. Probaly the best guy to have a Aftermarket blower and stock bottom end.

 

I have been running a k/b on a stock bottom end since November with zero problems at 13 lbs of boost. Skip

 

Sink or swim.... Lay down a ET or BOOM!!! Regardless the 25K on my baby right now has not had a dull day.

I look at it like this....

I bought my truck at 4:30pm on a friday in July 01. She went to the track at 5:15 for her first pass. 30 miles on it and it went a 13.89 @ 100. The next week with less than 500 miles she had a JL chip & Ram Air and went a 13.12 @ 103. She then got a 3lber around 1200 miles and went the best of a 12.50 @ 109.

Around 5K she got heavy modded and has not missed a beat yet. In the summer I run it Fri, Sat, & Sun. I know I have 1000 passes on her. I have had a chip from just about EVERY tuner in my truck at one time or another, you have never heard me say bad things about ANY that I owned. I have stuck with PSP for many reasons now, but whoever you run is your choice. ALot of Power can be made and with a safe tune.

You do have to remember, any mod can void a warrenty and alot of people seem to think they can get this or that fixed after mods have been on. Anyone that makes a part can tell how it was run. If you overspin a blower and over boost a motor, there are signs of it. You do have to PAY TO PLAY....

As Vinnie said, I will push mine to the limits, I have even got alittle different style tune coming. If I reach my PERSONAL goal I will be REALLY happy, hopefully the 8th will be a day where I jump for joy 1000 times. I made a choice to push the limits this time, and it wont be ANYONES fault but my own id something does go wrong....

 

I still want to try

It's either a new blower or heads/cams.

I am thinking about a KB on a stock bottom end w/ 15lbs. I think with the right tune it can be done. Although ICULOKN's Works blower sounds downright nasty. I will let my friends on here know what I do. Hey Vinnie.......if you do it I will. -Mat-
