True. Thanks. I guess I will have to get it and put it in once I get better. -Mat-

Rob which ever tuner you go with make sure that you run around 12 degree's of timing on your nitrous program. NX states that you don't have to pull any timing with their wet kit but most tuners agree that you need to pull some timing if you run the nitrous on pump gas. I have run my 75hp shot on my street program 1 time with 16.5 degrees of timing and didn't get any pinging but I probably shouldn't run it on the street program. I normally run the NX power booster fuel additive when I run the nitrous as well to help reduce the chance of pinging.

i dont think this would work on our intercooler system because our is air to water and not air to air, i believe that it would help but not to a very noticeable degree.plus youd have to spray it longer to cool the entire water supply, i think we should stick to powercoolers

HANKFAN,
First let me say, that you my friend have a awesome Nitrous install I like it a lot, one of the best I've ever seen.
The Button Location in the tray is amazing, the solenoids on the fire wall look great. Unfortunatly I have my Plasma Booster right there and can't move it without major rewiring. Where'd you install the nozzel ?? Do you have picture ? I also like that little sub set up you have on the hump, Mine kind of kills the use of the middle seat, what brand and info on that ?
Did you remove the tool box behind the seats just for the bottle ?
I didn't see your cd changer there either ? Maybe I would consider removing the top cover and mounting it somehow while still keeping the rest of it, Thank You for all you info, you have been the biggest help here and it really helps me out.
As for the tune again I must thank you, I'm making that decision right now on the tune.

I currently have these 2 programs on my daily Diablo Delta Chip
15 degrees of timing A/F will be 11.6 AT WOT
17 degrees of timing A/F will be 11.8 - 12.1 AT WOT

but also have a Spare Diablo Sport Chip for my set up and
12 degrees of timing A/F will be 10.9 - 11.2

I think this one would be perfect for the Juice

I couldn't run better than a 13.3 with it, when I switched to the Delta chip shown above I immediatly went to a 12.8 without my upper pulley on, PIG RICH AND LOW TIMING, PERFECT FOR NITROUS

THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN FO ALL YOU HELP
Please show me the nozzle

Rob_02Lightning: look real close at the throttlebody, and you will see the billet nitrous plate.
you can get one from www.powersurgeperformance.net

No problem Rob. Clonetek is right I am running Sal's billet nitrous plate. It is a billet plate that bolts behind the TB that is tapped for the nitrous nozzle to be screwed into. It's a trick piece for $75.00.

I removed the storage try behind my seat and put a piece of wood under the carpet on the drivers side. I used the 2 studs that held the tray down to hold down the piece of wood. I then mounted the bottle to the piece of wood so that I didn't have to drill any holes in my truck. Plus right behind the bottle is a rubber plug that I ran the nitrous line through and ran along the frame rail up to the engine department. I didn't have to move my CD changer I left in the factory position.

Yeah you should be fine with your spare chip with the nitrous. After doing some research on nitrous, timing doesn't play a big role in making power with nitrous. Nitrous seems to make more power with less timing. To much timing can be a problem but increasing the timing with nitrous is really not worth it. With 12 degrees you should have no problems at all.

Oh which ever kit you go with make sure you get a bottle heater. This is a must because the system doesn't work properly if the bottle pressure isn't in the 950-1050 psi range.

HANKFAN-

Where did you mount the fuel solenoid? I see the n2o and the purge, but not the fuel.

Make sure to install a blow down tube if you put the bottle inside the cab.

Rob,

I was debating nitrous about a month ago. I kinda got off the topic, but now your bring back my thoughts... lol. When you decide what kit you go with, let me know. I wanna know how it turns out. Thanks man.

Nitrous Intercooler....

Should work just as well with a compressed air tank...

How much do they charge for the kit?

Some things to think about!!!

Like I said before I have sold and like the Zex kit out of all the kits I have sold over the last few years it was the most trouble free and I only had one Honda blow a engine and that was because we packed 13lbs into a 10lbs bottle which whenhe ran the bottle pressure was 1300lbs needless to say he burned up two exhaust valves. The good side to this is he had may may may runs on a motor with 142,000mile on it.This was a dry kit I think it would not have had a problem with the wet kit.NX is nice but too pricey for what you get.I secound the blow off tube some tracks will not let you race if it is in the cab area and you don't have a blow off tube. Also I did some research on N2O back when I was going to add it to my SC Miata Magnuson(eaton) said not to spray N2O and Fuel through our SC the reason being gas will ruin the teflon rotor seal and the gearing in the SC itself are not sealed so we would wash away the grease and cause a failure. So I'd think twice before I'd spray through the SC. I know Hankfan what you are thinking I've been doing it with no problems and the B&M 671 had fuel flowing through them in the street car days but that was a different set up.So don't shoot the messanger I have only reported what Magnuson has said.
Jeff T.
P.S. the Honda I mentioned was one of our Demo cars and the owner a employee has the one who overfilled his bottle I do not recommend this way to dangerous!!!

the only thing that comes to mind is that plenty of people have been spraying through the sc thus far without any harm yet to be seen, also from what i hear is that the teflon does last very long anyways.

I don't see why the nx intercooler setup wouldnt work, especially with the aftermarket heat exchangers. it's fairly inexpensive compared to throttle bodies and such. the only thing I can think of is it would take to much time for the the nitrous mist to cool down the intercooler fluid enough to make a difference in quarter mile runs??? but it is somewhat similar to the supercooler used on the concept lightning. how many degrees would the fluid have to drop to make a significant difference?
