Factory Tech V/B help

I just installed the Value Body and now the tranny slips, will not engage under 2000 rpm's. The fluid level is correct. I ran it through the gears upon restart, rechecked the level. went for a short drive and seems to shift fine, but slips under 2000 rpm's.
What did I forget?

Sounds to me like it's not torqued down properly. If the tranny is slipping, the only cause of that is not enough pressure to hold the clutch packs. The VB does not affect clutch holding, only the initial engagement firmness. Sounds like you are bleeding off fluid pressure and you need to spin the pump faster (higher rpms) to make enough pressure to engage the packs.

Cool

One problem I had (I think???) when I did mine was an air pocket got trapped and caused some odd things.

But yours sounds to me like there is a "bleed" happening. Is there possibily debris between the body/gasket/case? Maybe some dirt or a burr?

WOT

I have been researching the FT Valve body and plan to buy one soon.
I read this related link on NLOC:

http://www.nloc.net/forum/showthread...threadid=36025

The customer said it was shifting hard not slipping. However maybe it needs a day or so, either way I would send Gregg and email or post in his forum on NLOC (use above link to get there).

How many Qrts did you put back in the trans? Didyou use Dextron 3? I heard it takes about 7 Qrts to refill. You have to check the fluid when the truck is at operating temp(hot) Make sure the V/B isnt sitting the wrong way I'm not sure ifit would line up but if it woul maybe you installed it 180 degress off. Lets us know
