Would you mind saying why you are switching to the 22's? Are yo still leaving the 6# on?
Idling on cold days was producing a very slight misfire, so I think the plugs may be a little cold for the cooler weather.

I just received the IT22's yesterday. I checked on their website and they come pre-gapped at .044. What do you guys think about leaving them at that gap? The elctrode does look like they would break very easily and I would hate to have to buy another set if I break one off.

Thanks
Paul

Talk to your tuner to be absolutly certain, but you will need less gap. Mine are set to .038 with my 6# pulley. When I got my plugs, they were'nt all gapped the same. A few were as low as .020.

I just order some Denso IT-24's from Sals shack. I got 5Lb lower and well other mods listed in my sig. I'm a daily driver and have roughly 40k on my1999. Hopefully they'll work well for daily driven.

I would think the primary reason for the higher NGK failure rate is the price difference between the Denso's and the NGK's.......There are more NGK's in service due to the lower price.

Failures of differing levels are inevitable with high boost, lean tunes and changing weather, octane, etc.

I would agree with that 100%....and lets not forget that some of us run multiple chip brands for street and/or strip, which also adds to the failure rate of any given plug.
