Cobra R Tranny?

I was talking with someone today about modify the L when he threw out the idea of putting a cobra R tranny in. I was trying to think of an excuse of how it wouldnt work but couldnt come up with anything logical. So out of curiousity,, technically,,would it work?

Can be done and the new 03 Cobra uses the same tranny. The cost would not be cheap. Wait for the 05.

I can think of one reason:

It would be hard to use a short throw shifter in an L (or any other truck) without some major work.
