By the time you pay for the upgraded intake on the KB and pullies, your on the heels of the Works 140. Something you should consider while trying to compare price to options.

When you put each next to each other, you will see the build quality of the Works exceeds that of the KB, not to mention, are all hand assembled. Comes down to preference and how much research you do.

i am not going to support either blower company online without seeing proof but i will say it's awfully suspicious that your whopping THREE posts are all about aftermarket blowers.

Add to that the mustang cobra listed as his vehicle and posting the questions on a pickup truck board.....

Just go a call from the mechanic I use for the heavy lift stuff. My short block and KB kit just arrived. Let you know in a few weeks what SOP's says.

No doubt, I own and 03 cobra, but lets face it as far as development of a similar platform you lightning guy's are way ahead. I figure the works blower for the cobra is at leat a month or 2 behind the lightning's release. I'm just trying to convince myself to wait. The kb that is already out there is getting more and more tempting, 3/4 of marketing is being the first to market.... works is way behind in that respect, but if there is any respectable difference they can make up for it, you guy's will know it first, I'm only gonna buy one, just trying to make to right decision....

I just installed my KB a few days ago. It is very easy install and seat of the pants says my truck is making more horsepower than it was before at the same level of boost, but the weather is cooler now than it was last summer.

Ak.silver2k:

I guess I will have to watch it running around town with all these new blowers on other Ls. I would like to buy a Works or a KB, but I don't think they are compatible with my Lightning. See, my L has the "mortgage limiter" on it. Also, how the hell do you guys convince your wives that you need a $3k part for your truck? My wife would leave me if I told her that!

Anyway, I don't live in Fairbanks anymore, I moved to Anchorage in January (And bought a house) when my enlistment with the Air Force was up and now I work for the FAA. Look me up when you come up and we can have a beer.

P.S. In reference to your new-found performance:

The wife works too, making almost as much as I do, so we both can spend a little on what makes us smile. I do get into Anchorage quite often, as I grew up there. Will try to look you up this summer. Anchorage is pretty nice, not as warm as Fairbanks in the summer, but definately has the milder winter. Congrats on the new job.

It almost hits 15psi. It has the 3.5" upper and a 8.9" lower...
