This shows the tailpipe part is touching right after where they connect after the hanger, they are too close togethere to attach to muffler.

closesness of pipes

If im not mistaken, the two mufflers must be attached with the pipes vertical of one another instead of horizontal. That may have been the issue.

BigDog,

Whatever has to be done to correct the problem, it will be done. You will have a proper fitting system. If you can take a picture for me of the tail-pipes connected to the muffler side pipes it would give me a better look of what's going on. Just lay it down like above and connect them.

Thanks,

Justin@JDM

Iam not sure what the problem is, but I can tell you this..

Every one, did I make this clear...Every One of the JDM exhaust sysyems is built in house. The Lightning systems are tacked up under a Lightning! Then pulled down and welded up. Iam just telling you this because I have been there and seen this. The welder putting down the metal is right on, and the system is right on. Before you take this the wrong way, I have a Bassani.

So Iam saying, if you back up and look over what you are doing, call the shop monday, I think, no believe, that the exhaust WILL BOLT RIGHT UP

I stood under the car and looked at the setup myself, as the owner held it up for me, and I think, no believe, no I KNOW the damn thing won't fit in the shape it was sent to me, if it was even the slightest bit close I would have made it work, but thanks for your insight gator.

aww man

Hey Justin, hope you guys didn't have a bad shipment!!! The way I work, once i take my catback off, it probably will never be able to go on again if mine didn't fit!!! J/k man. Ok, J/k somewhat, make sure my dad's are ok before you ship them. His patients are thin and if i'm helping him I'll have to listen to it....hahahaha.

I'm sure it's something screwy guy. JDM will take care of it, don't sweat it!!!

Are you guys loosening the bolts where the cat pipes bolt up to the manifolds as shown. That might be an issue???

Its no insight.
If you say it doesn't fit, I believe ya! Maybe you where shipped a Cobra system by mistake. **** does happen. But all I was trying to say is that every Lightning system is tacked up under a Lightning on a lift. Seen it with my own eyes. But that doesn't help you.........I know your pissed as I would be, but Iam sure the problem will be taken care of

Take a deep breath and watch the Bucs kick some oakland ***

GO BUCS

Unhappy

Wow, mine looked nothing like that under the truck, I realize the mufflers are different, but the way the pipes are shaped, waaay different, damn.

the curves or shapes of your pipes looks just fine to me. but after looking at your pictures for a while, it appears as though your front tailpipe where it connects to the mufflers is WAY higher than the other pipe. also, your hanger for the two tailpipes is welded incorrectly. look at my picture (the tailpipe section is in the background of the pic). check out the hanger and also see that the two pipes (non polished end that fits up to the mufflers) are side by side:

now look at your pipes, your front pipe or driver side pipe is all jacked up in relationship to the second pipe (again, non polished end) and your hanger is just plain welded on wrong? do you guys see what I'm saying?

SuperFords- After looking at I think you're right. The hanger looks way out of place!
