Not Sticking up for anyone...but are you aware that you were supposed to loosen one down pipe and rotate it? I don't see how they could not fit!

It helps to read the instructions on the stuff you guys buy.

The only thing i have ordered that hasnt fit was the top mesh part of my JLP air kit. Everything else fits like a magnum condom.

You just need know what stuff you can get from other vendors out there. Good prices can be had by LFP and BOP. Hell, LFP has more parts then just about all of the top 3 put together.

Then theres other stuff that you can get from mustang vendors without the " Lightning " luxury tax.

Yep sure did.

The problem was that the mufflers were wider apart than the tailpipes and no matter how you twisted or turn it,they still wouldnt fit together.
The shop pulled the pipes apart so that they would slide inside the mufflers.

Welp for one, these so called lightning specific throttle bodies? FRPP single blades are the same thing. I mean, what do you think BFB had copied to the t, aka, known as the Billetflow?

MAF's cheaper, Fuel Injectors Cheaper ( blue printed ones even ), electronics ( ignitions ), guages, etc... The list goes on. Just compare prices and you will be a little shocked.

Hey lets face it, the new schit is sometimes exactly that.
$30.00 plastic vac tee's, The original 12" hi-flow Air Filter kit is nothing more than a $30 filter with a 50 cent bracket they some of OUR vendors still sell for, $200.00. A piece of schitt bracket that isn't even close to fitting right, OR WORKING.
(FYI, I just bought a 12" Replacement Filter for $30.00) from one of our Vendor's. It's the same thing as the $200.00 kit, without the bracket that don't work.

Pulleys that don't come off, pumps that flow less than stock, T/B's that stick, chrome rims that chip, even tires that don't grip,
Hey, I'm a poet and don't know it,
that rymes you owe me a dime
Thousand Dollor exhuast that add no HP, cat backs that fly off, And yes, we've all seen hoods that don't fit, lids that wobble, pans that need triming, fans that burn up the whats ever you call it "thingy" they USE TO mount on the shroud, bars that hit the ground, after market suspension that need major chasis trimming, lowering kits that turn your awesome handling machine into a jumping bean, (ryme again) and the list goes on and on.

It's a problem with all industries and lots of differant companys.
TRIAL AND ERROR. I guess you have to wait for the improved versions to come out with lots of these items.
All you can do is stick with the winners.
I've uses all our Vendors, JLP, PSP, REM, LFP, JJ, JDM, and although with some, service is something they know absolutely nothing about, I've learned to pick a park from here and there and make it fit myself (NO BIG DEAL). Most of my important stuff has come from non vendors like SFPH and Styling Concept. Now I only buy only what I know works and have seen others have good luck with. I will never buy many mods after reading the horror stories here.

Over all I'd agree for the most part we get ripped off, But people like REM, JLP, and LFP have been great to deal with, they always meet a price I found with a NON VENDOR, and the service has been great and will keep me coming back. I also find PSP parts are all great quality Sal is always willing to help a brother out, and I have many of his parts on my L.

Since you were already quoted, I willn't do it again, ROB
LOL.......very funny writing

But every thing you said was VERY TRUE.

I guess, I have just been lucky with my aftermarket parts that I have bought, everything fit just fine. The only problem I encountered was the POS Bassani band clamps, but that was because I thought I was different than everybody else here, and that they would work for me! So after learning the hard way, that they where.......a POS........, I did what everyone on this board suggested when I bought my Bassani cat-back. I boughtr some heavy duty muffler clamps.

But this brings up a question, sonicdog?
Are you referring to overpriced aftermarket parts for the ZO6

After reading this thread it's time for me to vent. I just finished installing the Carraige Works grill and am very dissapointed. The directions really sucked, have these people ever installed one. I
could come up with better instructions after one install.
After much frustration the top went in and looks good,it's the bottom fit that really stinks. Anyone else notice how the top bar on the bottom grill falls about an inch short. Why is this? It looks as if there's plenty of room to fill the opening properly.
So now I have a great looking truck with a cheesy looking add on grill. I went for price and I got what I paid for. Crap!

Chip, i feel the same way. Since it was only $169 for both pieces, i guess i got what i paid for. I now know why people opted to dish out the extra cash and go with a trenz grill. Live and learn.

The bottom grill on mine is all bent up on the ends

Just so Chip & Flying **** feel better, my Speed Grille's cost $252.00 But I learned thru my experience with the Bassani clamps........I listened and threw away the POS clips the moment I opened the box And used plastic zip-ties to mount the grilles

Exclamation

Tranny Line Pressure Modulator Valve Kit's that destroy your tranny.
Can you prove this or is this just something you read?

I know people that installed this mod long ago and their trannys are still intact. I am one of them as a matter of fact.

I've been running a chip since my truck had 7,000 miles on it with torque reduction remove and the delay in the shifts reduced. At 18,000 miles I had a Line Mod Valve installed. The tranny tech said my fluid and everything about my tranny looked great. I now have 40,000 miles and hundreds of 1/4 mile runs under my belt. If my tranny when out tomorrow I couldn't bitch after what I've put it through.

If you think a valve body is going to protect your tranny any better then you are sadly mistaken. One of the main components in a valve body is a larger line mod valve.

I've read on this forum where several people have lost their tranny running valve bodies with way fewer miles than I have. There is nothing wrong with a valve body. They work great but so does line mod valve with neither one having a clear advantage when it comes to protecting your tranny. Take everything you read with a grain of salt because there is a lot of BS floating around the boards. People are always trying to sell stuff. The other night at the track there were about 5 of us L owners laughing and joking about all the misinformation that is posted on the different forums.

This is not a slam. It's just unbiased information. You can buy either shift improver and that's alright. The biggest difference you will feel is firmer light throttle shifts out of the valve body which some people like and some don't.

I've used a ton of aftermarket performance stuff on my Mustang, and 99% of it has been great.

Everything from Max Motorsports suspension, to MAC exhaust, to a Paxton blower...etc....

I can't say I agree with you on this one.
