We just got another 1 yesterday..We here @ JLP have no problems with these *New* shops trying to get in on the Lightning market, but when this is their way of doing it we then have a problem! And i'm sure the other companies that have been in this buisness as long as we have agree!...We here @ JLP have been Porting heads and have been running them for a year to show on the *Track* how well they work. and trust me i have run against many other trucks with their own head work design and we have done very well. You can give us a call for moe info. we'll be glad to talk about it.....JLP

I'm sure there is more than one. Some things are better left unsaid....I'm sure it'll all come out in the wash sometime.

Trust me i'm not worried about the competition....i have been in business for myself since 1983.Competition is what its all about...Its the sneaky tactics of e-mailing our customers and undercutting our prices and abilities just to drum up some buisness! We here @ JLP will NEVER e-mail,call,ect! another companies customers and try to sell our products and abilities! We choose to let our products and customers promote our company.which in the long run will work out just fine...As far as the rest of the story.........well lets just leave it alone... JL

Johnny, what your saying is true!
e-mailing is one thing, what about other tuners who want to charge extra for things or not deal with use cuz we didn't buy from them to start with?
Were with ya Johnny!

Unclemole, you are wrong about Johnny. I have never met him, spoken to him, nor do I have any of his products, but in three and a half years I have never seen him back down from ethical competition.

This reminds me of something that happened a long time ago.
I sent my Buick GN heads to a company in california that I wont name AIRFLOW RESEARCH and when I got the heads back they sent a flow sheet and well it just didn't add up. The numbers looked like something that was copied out of the chevy section of a hot rod magazine. The numbers were way over inflated.
So I took the heads to a local shop and had them tested.....sure enought they were not even close to the numbers given to me.

But here's the catch....the heads looked good and performed even better on the car. I probably was one of the first 10 GN's in the country into the elevens back then.

I'm not sure what the moral to this story is but thought it might either brake the tension or add to it.

I will sum up my reply in one phrase " 10.59 @ 125mph"

JL rocks plus he is one hell of a honest guy. To me that is what separates "the boys from the men". javascript:smilie('')

Interesting how judgement is being given to REM without them even having said a word.
