Why Not Plasma Direct

Sounds like a good mod, but why not get the Plasma Direct which is a coil replacement instead of a splice in? Looks like it would be the better kit. Non made for our applcation?

I found this alternative last night.

Sounds like a great way to install it too,
no permanant modifications, no wiring, instead it replaces your stock spark plug boots from our coils.
Why do I always find alternatives out afterwards ???

I am happy with the Plasma Booster, and believe it made quite a differance, especially after putting it to the test day one and racing a "un-certified YET" 11 second Monster of a Lightning and keeping up quite well, side by side for the most part. Ok so he wipped me from the line but he had warm slicks and me ice cold 20 degree F-1's. I was only 1 block from my house when I ran into him, he had been out cruzing looking for a race. He found one

I spoke to them about 6 months ago. Will not fit a Lightning. They are much taller than the stock coil pack. They will not clear the fuel rail.

Cool

HI!... This might be a dumb question ... but would it be possible to use the PLASMA BOOSTER and the DIRECT-HITS set-up together for even more spark. Would that be possible? Would they conflict with each other or support each other? Just curious.

Ignition solutions plasma coils wont fit the Lightning. What Rob was talking about was a directfire coil booster that boosts your one single spark. It does not give multiple sparks like the plasma booster does.

I see alot of people that like the plasma booster, looks like I am gonna call JDM and order one. I think that is where vinnie said he got his?

Plasma Direct

It appears the Plasma Direct system is not available for the L, at least that is what I inferred from their reply:

"Yes we do have an application for the FORD LIGHTNING. The part number for the 99-03 5.4L application is 1118137. Price for the Eight Channel Plasma BOOSTER system is $299.50.

If you are interested in purchasing a system, contact our main office and
we can direct you to a distributor in your
area.

Kind Regards,
