Thumbs up Got My JDM Silver Bullet Cat-Back Tonight...

Hey guys, I got a few questions for you, I am just a young'n here and I need a little help with the install. I don't really have anything to lift the truck with and I am trying to figure out the best way of getting this exhaust put on. It looks amazing overall, even the directions were incredibly detailed, but I am not very good at putting installing this stuff. What do you guys recommend. I was thinking about buying thosse plastic ramps t lift the truck up from pep boys but they are around $40 a set. What do you think it would cost to just have it brought to a place to be installed, where should I go, and anything else that I should know. Thanks guys.

There is something ironic about your stereo setup and you worrying about the cost of $40 for ramps.

Places by me charge hourly, $45-65/hr ...

Bring the system by your local muffler shop and show them what you have, don't pay anyone more than $50.00. An experienced installer should be able to have you in and out in about a half hour.

Buy yourself the ramps and use them for changing your oil too.

Very funny comment, Dan

A lot of people have those ramps. Ask a neighbor or a friend to borrow them and you are golden. Most do it yourselfers have a set. Good luck with the install. tell me how it goes cause i plan on doin it soon.

If you are not very mechanical then doing something UNDER the truck is that much harder and something that should be left to the pros.
It does not cost that much and is not worth the risk.

Hey guys stop ripping on me for the ramps, that $80 total that can go to the "I need an Optima Battery so my stereo will at least turn on" fund, its quite important... and thanks vinnie, I think I am gonna leave it to the pro's, hassle free thats the way to go. And as for trying to find the ramps I asked around, nobody had them, so I at least gave it a try, my dad laughed at me when I told him I was gonna try to put it on myself.
As for all the stuff I have put onto my truck I did actually pay for all of that myself, so $80 for soemthing I don't plan on using ever again is quite a waste. I worked as a mover/driver and a local chevy dealership, as bad as that sounds, and I even drove a tugboat for a little while, boy was that an, lets say "experience". Thanks for all the info guys.

I got my rhino ramps for 17 dollars plus tax, so something like 20 dollars or so. I got them from wal mart, only problem is when i go up the ramps, my truck bottoms out, so i need to put some pieces of wood on the ground before the ramps. Btw, my truck is lowered though too, 3/4 so thats why it bottoms out. But like everyone is saying, buy the ramps, i used them already to change my oil, and this weekend, I put on Red neon underglows, man im gonna get flamed for this, they are off of my eclipse spyder, and they look nice. Well good luck with the exhaust.
