Yes it's an uncaged setup. And yes it's actually easier to swap two uncaged pulleys (3 bolts vs 6 bolts). But this setup does have it's advantages too. 1- It's cheaper to purchase the dual ring kit that it is to buy two uncaged pulleys. 2- If you interchange two pulleys often, you run the risk of damaging the balancer threads. You run that same risk of damaging the interchangable pulley hub, but that hub is a 1/3 of the price of a new balancer. 3- The kits fit all years of Lightning, so if you ever decide to take it off and sell it, it doesn't matter what year the buyers truck is, like with a solid caged pulley.

I do plan to continue to sell both the Metco kits and our PSP designed original cageless pulleys. I just wanted to give our customers another option.

Thanks sal,
Makes a lot more sense.
Would another advantage be weight or is the billet pulley the same rotating weight as the interchangeable set-up(32 ounces)?

Does it require a new belt? Sorry for the questions, and thanks for the replies. You see, I have this friend that has a sonic blue '03 and we want to make it run 10s for about 2 large in mods...

Most appreciated Sal.
