VA Laws SUCK!

Over the weekend I took my truck out where I hardly ever do. I went to downtown Richmond to pick up a drunk friend from the local clubs. Well needless to say this ***** state trooper decided he wanted to pick on me. Lots of rice cars making noise and showing off, I just rolled in looking for my friend!

He pulled me for my PSP, NRMA, & Nitto stickers on my glass. I told him they were not in view of any mirrors and should be legal, he said no it is illegal to have anything other than a Inspection & county sticker on the glass. He searches my truck, gives me a ticket for a seatbelt & illegal stickers, and warns me that my exhaust is to loud for use after 11pm. When he brings me my tickets he has the ***** to ask me what size my rims are.... I felt like letting him have a few choice words but I didnt, I just started Betsy up at half throttle and drove off....

Richmond City will now have another $125 of my money for a state ***** with nothing better to do.....

They are super **** in virginia, and it sucks. I have yet to have problem in the L. But I used to get pulled over weekly in my old GTO for loud exhaust. The thing is is that it's BS. They used to give me a hard time, but then would always let me go. I think they have to test it before they can give you a ticket.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Was the illegal stickers for the front windshield or is that on any of the glass? I have some on my rear window. I figure that would be fine as some vans don't even have a rear window.....

What was wrong with your seatbelt??

I'm willing to bet that if you show up to court insted of paying the fine you will win because the cop wont show. I can't imagine he would go for something as simple as that. I went to court once and cops weren't showing up for shoplifting cases (i went for noise violation, not shoplifting) ....

what a *****! i hate hate hate cops who make it their business to harass citizens, people who PAY for their mealticket in a sense. it's one thing to be out there solving crimes columbo-style or at least pulling over drunk drivers, dangerous speeders (when i say dangerous i dont mean 10 over in a 65 on a 4 lane deserted highway on a sunny day in may).

how did he get you for seatbelts? if it was AFTER he pulled you over then you can say you only took it off to get your registration in the passenger dash, etc. etc.

when he asked you what size rims you had, you should have said "more than you can afford pal, KMC" (fast and the furious anybody?)

Only a real ***** mad at the world kind of guy would pull you over and ticket you for stickers, I don't care what State or Laws are involved.

No offense but why would you argue with a cop and tell him that something isnt illegal when he just told you it was There is no point arguing with a cop its his word against yours and who do you think a judge will believe if you fight it. The reason i bet he added the seatbelt and was asking about your rims was because you tryed telling him he was wrong. ***** when i get pulled over even when i know i did something wrong im nice to the cop. They got you by the *****. So why make it worse by arguing with him. Maybe its just me but thats how i see it.

My friend who is a cop in my town beat that state troopers ticket count. He wrote this guy who he pulled over ,for just tinted windows at first, 13 tickets in one stop . The kid wanted to be an @ss to him and look where it got him. Instead of one ticket got him 13. So as much as all of you say you hate cops and they are ****** some people deserve the multiple tickets. Next time im sure they will think before they open their mouth especailly to a cop that just pulled your @ss over.

Virginia is the worst state I've ever drove through!! Even if your vehicle is complient in a nearby state and your just traveling through the western most tip of the state,......those S.O.B. will still ticket you for minor ***** like window tint, taillight & license plate covers, lowered or raised too much and etc........

My sister lives in Manasas and I go to visit her at least once a year. It's like driving on Egg Shells!

She's always trying to get me to move up there,......but I'm too much of a gear-head to put up with all their emission laws and other stupid Bull*****

I'll stay right here in Ky. Besides,.......it snows to much there for me. Makes it too tough to put the power to the ground!!
