maybe you should re-read my post..

"the equivalant of a chip and pulley"

meaning whatever you can do to an SS that equals the same amount of gain that a L would get from a chip and pulley

Just Sarcasm on my part as far as the "pulley" crap. If you re-read my initial post, I did compare stock to stock.

Throw on a lid ,gears ,headers, exhaust on a SS and it would walk away from the Lightning. I love highway rolls!

racing from a roll is for p*$$ies. no technique...and someone always gets the jump unfairly if you use the 3 honk BS.

racing from a stop takes skill on the launch, etc etc. it's what real racers do.

which is faster

We have a 2001 WS-6 Trans Am A-4 and an 02 lightning.
Stock for stock the T/A was faster 13.23 to a 13.55

After the chip and pulley for the lightning, and shorty headers and predator programing for the T/A the Lightning rules big time.
12.69 to 13.06. Both on E.T. Streets.
Last week we raced at an 1/8 track in 55 degree weather
the Lightning did 7.97 the T/A did 8.27

Thumbs up

nothing wrong with F-bods, they perform a useful service to the community, when they're not racing
