HEHEHEHE.... welcome to our clan. It's a damn good thing you don't want a refund on that membership because we don't give no stinkin' refunds!! Skagel has already spent it on her next mod (an underwater basket weaver equipped with a stren fishing outrigger that will auto-reel in fish/beaver/various water fowl from a distance of over 600 meters--it's an impressive unit).

Again, feel free to ask questions til your heart is content. I'll try.. try hard even.. to be as serious as I can.

Hi Marc....

As RP has pointed out, we are fairly quick to divert from the main thread.
It is not out of disrespect to the person asking a question....though I know if you want some info it can be irritating.
It has happened to me on several occasions....sometimes you do not get the info you want and you just have to be a pain and ask again!
Often though you will find that the tread regenerates itself and comes back on topic even after some time.

I am as guilty as anyone of changing the direction....but in all honesty if all we ever talked about was F150's
(And I exclude Skagel here)... we would all be very tiresome.
It is only through the odd comment (in this case someone mentioned Escort) that other shared interests come to light.

On this occasion because of the new RS and the fact I am fortunate to live on both sides of the Atlantic I thought it would be informative to those with a general Automotive interest to know a bit more about world rallying....if the interest was there....sometimes these new themes are picked up ...often not.

It is a strange fact but the good ol' US of A is strangely insular in it's outlook.

Hence the bewilderment after 9.11 that those events could possible happen on your soil.

Another example.....The World Series......Where's the rest of the world !!!

In all honesty I am sometimes a little disappointed at the way other themes are not explored.
OK I know it is an F150 forum but most of us can learn about other topics as well at the same time.

Anyway you will learn an awful lot here about F150 matters...I know I have......but I've learned a lot about other things too.

I hope I have also made some input which has proven of interest.

If not......"Tough Titty"....'cause I'm going to continue !!!

I recently purchased my '02 KR supercab on A Plan. It has pretty much all the options, and automatic climate control whch may or may not be factory available on '02 supercab KR, but oh well. I got it and I'm not complaining. I paid a bit over 27K. I picked 2.9% financing over 60 months so there was no rebate and I financed the entire amount.

Man, must be nice to have these X and A plans! I got mine on the bohica plan

Actually after multiple hours of arguing and about 5 sales "managers", man they have a lot of tiers in these places, I walked out at 600 over invoice and losing 500 from what I wanted for my Lightning, but that's business, I like the truck a lot (but it aint my Bolt :-((( ) you'll hear that a lot from me, it's the only whine I have left since I lost the blower...

Actually since my stepfather retired from GM I could've got GMS pricing... NAAAAAHHHH!

One help I think was this dealer (one of the big "volume" dealers in So. MD) had only received 3 KRs all year. He 1st tried to sell me on a supercab 4x4 (even though I "specifically" said 4x2 SCREW with the 60/40 split rear), apparently he'd been sitting on it for quite a while and was ready to deal. Then he got in 2 SCREWS in Charcoal Blue with the 60/40 one 4x2 and one 4x4, at least he knew he had one sold.... They don't sell well here I guess as it's mostly Lightnings or SUVs. Oh well at least I'm back to a unique truck if not a FAST one...

Mine came with all options except rear seat entertainment (moonroof killed that), splash guards, and a tonneau (I'll get a RETRAX later).

I just hope I don't find myself wishing I'd held out for a Heritage...

Luck and welcome...

G
